3.5G Speeds
I purchased an N95 mobile recently and have been able to surf the net on my laptop whilst on the move via using the phone as a modem.
I'm currently living in the fens but will soon be moving to sheffield. I am therefore wondering what the 3.5G speeds are in that area at this time. I know that in some areas the download speeds are 1.8Mbit/s and others 3.5Mbit/s (with speeds of 7.2Mbit/s speeds coming soon) but have been unable to find any indication online of the speeds in different areas or when the increased speeds rollout is. Also, what are the 3.5G upload speeds? Thanks in advance for your replies. |

You know you can be charged at £2 per megabyte when they start billing for laptop usage.
You're only meant to use the data allowance for mobile surfing, if you want laptop data you have to buy a dongle / data card. |

"Use your phone as a modem with your laptop and get unlimited internet access on the move - including streaming media, downloading files and instant messaging." Unlimited is actually 10GB, but thats all I need. |

You can do a speed test (google search), I'm on t-mobile web'n'walk and get 675k on my N95.
I am wondering what the speeds are in advance of actually moving there tho, so if anyone is in sheffield, let me know what speeds you're getting on 3.5G . thanks. |
