Penny and Kelly came out of it quite well.

Well I enjoyed it, they both seem nice. And nice to see the boys too.
But everytime Kelly giggled I thought 'Oh god - those that already find her and her giggle irritating/false are gonna dislike her even more'! Penny came across very well - careful when to laugh/ clap etc, and not at the expense of others too much, esp when he made his Rod/age joke. Kelly was more 'free'.. would be tempted to say genuine, but I don't think Penny was not genuine, just different personalities - also more mature/experience I would think.

Strange to have Brendon and Ian in the waiting room, without saying a word.

Couple of my friends who are not that into scd txt me to say that they thought Kelly came off as more genuine than Penny.

I thought Penny came across very well, can't say the same about Kelly, unfortunately! She did have some good moments, though.

I don't particularly like Dominic but I thought JR went a bit too far with his munchkin impression (which started off very funny).

Didn't like Ian and Brendan relegated to the green room like second class citizens.

Well different opinions and all! My friends didn't text me what they thought so I can't say! Can't say though I feel any differently about them before or after tonight.. thought they both nice enough before, and same now.

I don't know if you interpreted my post to say Kelly isn't genuine btw? But thats not what I meant (have finished it now!)


eta. I don't think it was bad having the boys in the green room - it's always the way in the show. All too often the boyfriend/partner/spouse etc is in there... just for company really, and probably a few after show drinks. They would have chosen to go!

Penny came off as being quite classy and was too serous for the Wossie treatment. Nice tho.
Liked the bit where Kelly said judges spot on and Penny's face when she said it. Although wonder how much of that was scripted?

I have found Penny entirely natural , unassuming and self effacing , exactly the opposite of Kelly , who seems to be putting on an act . Though I find her acting to be rather less accomplished than Cate Blanchett , the other female guest .

JR was too cruel about Dom , but then he always is and one either loves him or not . I think the BBC pay him 15 m too much and if they sacked him they would have no money problems . The sooner the better for me .

Agree, he sometimes goes way OTT with his mocking.

I love Jonathon Ross, Dom jokes were funny. Ian should've been on for longer though.
