Unless I'm missing something, I thought JR's Dom-bashing was cringeworthy....and I'm no particular fan of Dom.

No fault of the girls who were fine....but it reminded me why I don't watch the show any more. Didn't see the point of the partners being there either.

The people who stay behind in the green room are usually unconnected to the celeb's professional career/the reason they've been invited on the show. The pro dancers are very much part of the show and can offer a great and different insight.

I have seen girlbands/boybands/bands interviewed on JR so 4 people can definitely be seen at the same time. They should have either been on the sofa with them or not there at all - but that's just my opinion.

Totally agree,i don't like Jonathan Ross at all,he gets most of his laugh's by being cruel to other people.

Kelly put her foot in her mouth saying that the judges were 'spot on' with all their comments which was ill-advised as she was sitting next to Penny who got slated last week...

...good on JR for jumping on her for that and to Penny who didn't let her off the hook either.

Before that, our Kel contradicted Penny about all the pros being hard on the celebs when Pen had just said Ian was a darling and not hard on her at all which made Penny get a twisted look!

But Kelly did make some good jokes 'Billy hates Brendan'

My take - Penny came across as sincere, poised and 'sweeeeet' (nods to Claud). Kelly was quite funny with excessive giggling

Yes I know he sometimes has 4 or 5 on the sofa. But, and no offence to the boys, but it just wouldn't have been as funny & entertaining an interview..You say great insight etc but we're it's not a ITT interview, it's meant to be more of a 'bit of a laugh' really.. and also to a great audience who don't watch SCD (or if they do wouldn't know the pros if they slapped them in the face).
Plus when he has 4 or 5 on the sofa, most of them don't say much usually. Just 1 or 2 them talk.

Anyway I found the whole interview entertaining & v funny (after almost falling asleep to Heston whatshisface :yawn: ) - and don't think it should be pulled apart & analysed to the extreme. The Billy Zane / Willy photo was hysterical.

As Ian and Brendon were there JR missed a big opportunity in not letting them dance with the girls. They both could have done a little of their first dances on SCD.

Well spotted! There's a TV screen there and they watch and hear everything we do. Unless she quickly nipped to the loo, but that's not what she said!

Yes they do.. Tess has always heard it remember. But Kelly said she didn't hear it she was downstairs or something... But regardless of where she was I'm sure she's watched the show back. Anyway though, I don't think it was an intentional lie.. think she was just digging herself out of a hole, maybe trying to be cute/funny a bit and was one of a few "talk before you think" comments she made. Harmless though imo.

Thought the interview was HILARIOUS! Couldn't stop laughing! Made me warm to Kelly too - she was very funny and very witty about Brendan - sort of putting him down, but in a way that would make it difficult for him to be upset.

The Dominic impression made me nearly choke with laughter - was cruel but hilarious! Hope Dominic can see the funny side!

Tonight I thought that Penny Lancaster came across so well in comparison to Kelly Brook.

I am no basher of either - but I really felt that Penny was the far more classy of the two - she didn't react in silly little girl ways and she seemed so genuine and lovely.

I thought she looked beautiful as well.

Kelly (and this is only my opinion and not meant to be Kelly-bashing!), I felt, didn't come across in a very genuine way. I think she's really beautiful but as I watched, I couldn't help thinking how fake she looked, sitting next to Penny who just has such a lovely natural beauty. Kelly's looked very forced.

I also thought she found herself terribly funny, and came across as an indiscreet and insensitive person - e.g. spilling the beans on all kinds of things and the comments that the judges were spot on, whilst sitting next to Penny who had felt otherwise and said so.

both entitled to their opinion of course but I felt a little sensitivity could have shown itself there!

I had no real opinion on Kelly before tonight's show other than the fact that I thought she was very lovely - but I found myself revising that opinion tonight!

I also thought that Jonathan Ross (whom I normally like) came across as what dear old George Melly used to describe as a "twot"! I just thought he acted and sounded like there weren't too many cups in the cupboard.

But don't you think they were in a very lightheated manner, kindof playing up to peoples' pre-conceptions?

I do like Kelly but the laughing is too much. I think it really is just a nervous thing or maybe she doesn't know what her reaction is meant to be. I'd rather have a night out with Kelly than Penny.

I found it really entertaining. Penny was lovely.

My guess is Kelly is a bundle of nervous energy, still quite young, a creature of instinct reacting in a split-second. When Brendan lost the plot in the tango and both dancers were stranded yards apart, Kelly instantaneously invented a move forward and a slap which would have persuaded many viewers it was choreographed -- until Brendan owned up.

What she says is spoken in a split-second without premeditation, like the young Hugh Grant. Alesha also shoots from the mouth, but no-one says Alesha has ulterior motives.

Kelly seems to be maintaining her "marmite" impact and has divided opinion again!

I liked the interview. It was fun and both Penny and Kelly got into the irreverent JR style.

Penny was lovely but more reserved. Kelly cute and exuberant. They even got JR up and dancing at the end. Hats off to them!

I thought the slap was in the script! I was sure that I heard kelly say (more than once) that when the mistake happened (Brendan's fault) that she knew a slap was coming up at the end and she would put a bit more into it.

It's repeated tonight at 1.20am (if you want to stay up, or record it).

The slap was definitely in the script.
