My guess is Kelly is a bundle of nervous energy, still quite young, a creature of instinct reacting in a split-second. When Brendan lost the plot in the tango and both dancers were stranded yards apart, Kelly instantaneously invented a move forward and a slap which would have persuaded many viewers it was choreographed -- until Brendan owned up.

What she says is spoken in a split-second without premeditation, like the young Hugh Grant. Alesha also shoots from the mouth, but no-one says Alesha has ulterior motives.”

Sorry, but isn't Kelly 29 - not that young really.

Alesha may be a chatterbox but she clearly thinks before she speaks. Kelly could easily have got her boyfriend in trouble last night when she almost suggested he was working in the UK despite having a tourist visa. That's what immigration departments love - someone doing their work for them.

So did Penny, she was smiling politely. Kelly was still finding it funny though. I didn't find Kelly any more genuine than Penny, its just that Penny knows how to behave herself!

I didn't see the interview either, so also hoping it will be youtubed. In general though in response to above - it's what you say, not how much you say. I'm sure Kelly didn't mean to offend Penny with her comments about the judges though.

To get a roomful of people instantly seizing each other by the throat,

mention the name Kelly.

I missed the Dom bashing because my mum came in talking to me, so I can’t comment on that.

Penny came across as lovely, I don’t think she wasn’t genuine just reserved and I still she came across as a nice friendly person. I personally didn’t think Kelly came across very well. I also felt that she put Brendan down too much, one or two teasing comments might have been funny but I think she took it far. The girl can dance and I think she’s a real contender I just hope she doesn’t turn people off with her attitude, I’ve liked her so far and I do think she‘s one of the better dancers on the show.

She seems to me to be rather immature and somewhat spoiled, and she seems to say whatever enters her head with little thought to the consequences or how it might be perceived.

Not an uncommon trait in women who have been adored and pursued by men for their beauty, every day of their lives.

Not knowing Kelly in person I lean towards the above description, than that she has every utterance preplanned, to exploit publicity for her perfume launch, red top article, future career etc. Kelly speaks as she finds in a microsecond, even she doesn't know what's coming next. Brendan is on tenterhooks, Bill is on tenterhooks, and every man who has known an exciting but dangerous femme fatale.

After SCD I would not be surprised if a Hollywood role comes up for her, good luck girl !

I don't think she was suggesting that he was working here - she was suggesting that he was living here.

I also found myself warming to Kelly after last night - she just seemed really open and sweet.

Working here, living here - same point I was making.

I thought there was almost too much of a contrast between the 2 girls.
Kelly came across better for the JR audience because she threw herself into it- mouth going before brain. That is what works well on JR show.
Penny came across very reserved, and looked a bit disapproving (maybe too harsh a word - but only one I can dredge up at moment) at some of the comments by Kelly and JR.
JR did his usual - cruel but funny thing. I think Madonna is the only one that ever really bested him at that game.

I believe UK Immigration rules allow for residence to anyone who can either create jobs here, or can demonstrate wealth above a certain level.

Anyone not named Osama bin Laden.

I'm not questioning anyone's right to live or work in the UK. And no, immigration rules are not that simple.

Did you actually see the show?

Both were pleasant enough, but Kelly should probably be seen and not heard. The inane giggling is very irritating and she really has nothing to say for herself. Penny seems to have a little more substance than Kelly but both women suffered badly from being on the same bill as Cate Blanchett, who outshone them in every way.

Yeah - I love Penny, but I don't think she got into the spirit of it as much as Kelly and it made me love Kelly more for it. Her giggling and mouth before brain thing (and that's not a criticism, nothing about intelligence - I think it made her seem really genuine!) worked well on the show!

Perfectly true, but never the less quite sad in my view. Outer beauty doesn’t last after all, and if that‘s what people love most about you…but still she is a very beautiful woman, and if she does get a role or whatever out of this, then as you say good luck to her!

I don’t dislike her, and like I said I think she has the potential to be one of the better dancers this series. I have been awake all night, I’ve not been well, so apologies if this is clumsily written.

I thought Kelly came across really badly last night - just really silly and giggly and tactless - she's 30, not 13 for god's sake

Penny just has more class

This was hilarious! My sides ached from laughing! I absolutely love Jonathan Ross, it always totally baffles me when people don't get his humour. He is so quick witted and just doesn't care what he says- "I'm going to stop going to Iceland because I don't like Kerry Katona!" The Dom impression was brilliant. And I love Dom! I really wish JR would do SCD. He's top of my wish list for SCD6!!

Yup! I love JR too - on telly or radio he is equally funny.

I think Kelly was good and had the right sense of fun for the show. Penny was also nice.

Sadly JR has made it very clear that he'll not do SCD. Shame!

I neither like or dislike Kelly but I did find her giggling and squirming about on the sofa a bit irritating considering she's not a teenager anymore.

So saying that, I really enjoyed the interview and thought that Penny was really nice.

Good publicity for the show, but I would have liked Brendan and Ian to be interviewed too.

Yes I loved the Dom impression to.
Jonathan is quite tall though so which lady professional could partner him?

Probably Camilla or Erin. They've both had tall male celeb partners in the past, David Dickinson, Roger Black, James Martin, Julian Clary, Peter Schmeikel (sp).

I could just see Erin putting him through his paces ...lol
