esp. the comments about James . if they really knew James they wouldn't say such things about him

Got to agree with you .........some of those very personal comment's are bang out of order.

Character assassination i would call it .

It dosen't matter who you "like" or don't "like" as a dancer or person,i don't want to see this sort of stuff being said about anyone on the show.

People will read that article and be influenced about the dancers (pro and celeb) because of it.

Too many mistakes in there!

Denise left her long term boyfriend for Ian??? (he's gay for goodness' sake)

Anton's wife is Erin???

And who is Nicola Butler? and when was Nicholas Parsons dancing with her on the show?

Lovely pic of Letitia in full blown goldfish mode

""Matt took my comments about his lack of passion personally and started having a go about me on television. He took it personally - all of these comments are not personal but constructive criticism for the stars to improve their dancing."

would hate to see them getting personal then ..

LOL...thought the same! What's that all about and why have none of the judges commented on it yet!?

Also, hope you outing Ian isn't news to Denise! Where have the researchers got their "facts" from?

It reads like a rehash of half truths , comments given by the judges on dancing and then put forward as if they had been said in an interview and downright untruths

Anton and his wife Erin

Denise Lewis leaving her fiancee for Ian ( however much I love him I don't think so)

Quote:
“Arlene says that Nicole has her work cut out with ex-footballer John Barnes. "Last year she was the first to leave the competition with Nicholas Parsons and this year she's determined to hang in there.”

I am fuming about this article I really am. I know I am a James' fan so I would feel angry about it. No brown mucky stuff Sherlock! No, I know that James is not perfect (none of us are) and besides he can look after himself. No it has angered me on a number of levels. Firstly, it is nasty and personal and likely to damage his standing in the competition - according to them there is nothing likeable about him. Secondly, what about impartiallity? Recently, I met a tennis umpire on a train (we were returning from a tournament) when I asked him who his favourite player he nearly imploded - I could not possibly comment upon those I like or dislike - I am a professional - was his response - which I understood and respected. The SCD have the ultimate decision in the dance off what chance of their being impartial. Finally, (I know I am ranting) but they are not perfect - I really think that they have scored an own goal on this - sorry but grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

It would surprise me greatly if the judges actually said what is quoted in context. The article is (or was...they are correcting it as we speak) so full of inaccuracies nothing from it can be trusted.

That was a really horrible article, nothing positive about it at all. It's full of mis-information and half truths. I there's so much wrong with it I feel offended on behalf of all the professionals. But as a Cutlerite this had me fuming:

Latin American dance specialist, Matthew Cutler, who partners Alesha, is, says Arlene, "a sensational dancer but doesn't give his best when he hasn't got an absolutely perfect partner. And he's not had great partners until now - he had actress Siobhan Hayes and Carol Smillie.

Really! He wasn't giving his best last year? Carol had never danced before and yet lasted to week nine!

Funnily enough I was saying on Saturday after the show that Matthew always look like he's dancing with his partner not just doing the same routine. Obviously if he went out and performed as he would if he was dancing with Nicole he would outshine his celebrity (as would most of the pro's). I think that's makes him a good professional. Arlene obviously sees it as not giving it his best.

Rant over!

Keeeeeeeeeeep Ranting

I'm so outraged by this comment on Matthew, I can hardly type. Urghhhhh to have only one teaching style - aggressive and nasty. To only rate one personality style - raw sex. Says more about Arlene than any of the professional dancers she talks about.

I'm sure none of that makes sense, but maybe I'll get it into perspective when I've calmed down.

Out of interest, how many have put in a comment correcting the 'facts' in the article?

I notice they've changed 2 of the 4 I pointed out - changing to Nicole Cutler from Nicola Butler, and have taken out the reference to Erin being Anton's wife and dance partner. Nicholas Parsons as Nicole's partner last year and Denise dumping her boyfriend for Ian remain in the article at present.

I gave the article 4. 1 point for getting each of the judges' names right.

I haven't read the article, but the quote from Arlene was awfully like what she said in ITT reviewing the male pros earlier this week - presumably the whole thing is a farrago of rehashed items, inventions and (mis)quotes out of context. I'd be amazed if they had in fact actually interviewed anyone.

Agreed Pasta. I think we should write to the journalist concerned and point out all her errors! It's an appalling piece of journalism.

Actually, on second thoughts, I think I'll write to the Editor complaining about this journalist. Might have more affect!

You can't really call this 'journalism', surely

I cannot understand that there are people who take an article like that seriously. It's utter cr*p.

I have just written to the Editor of the Daily Mail - Paul Dacre. If anyone else wants to do the same you can email him at letters@dailymail.co.uk

I told him I thought they were stooping to the level of The Sun with an article like this (apologies to any Sun readers on here)

guys, it's the Daily Mail - it's already lower than The Sun!!

It's insidious, dangerous and downright outrageous journalism (the whole paper, not just this)

frankly I wouldn't wipe my a**e on the Daily Mail, take everything you read in it with a very large pinch of salt...
