He was showing off for the camera`s and threw himself onto a Judo mat and has now injured his shoulder. Lilia is seriously pissed off as he is now unable to perform any lifts for tomorrows AS. If he`s no better tomorrow then they(SHE) will have to re choreograph their routine.

I hope he recovers to a dance of some description and I hope he doesnt get chucked out yesterday

2 lifts are "allowed" in the American smooth, they are not compulsory. They just need to remove the lifts from their routine if his shoulder is too sore to do them. The bit about having to learn a new dance from scratch was a bit far fetched.

Would it really be so bad they have to do a new dance though, surely if it was bad enough he couldnt lift they could just change the bits where the lifts should have been.. its probably been over dramatised anyways. I'm sure he'll be up dancing

I doubt Dom realised that doing such a fall on a mat would result in injury. I hope it is one of those simple things - like when you turn your head sometimes and you feel as though you pull something, it really hurts, but it goes off quickly.

Dom's shoulder is STRAPPED UP overnight. Even if it feels 75% healed by tomorrow it would be very high risk to chance a lift or two. If the action touches a nerve Dom could not help suddenly collapsing to the floor in agony, and in the process unceremoniously dumping Lilia from a height of five feet.

Then there will be TWO dancers walking wounded but no dance. One instrument after another will conk out in the dance band. Brucie will be desperately trying to recycle a gag he used 50 years ago. The judges will face a problem, how to mark an uncompleted dance.

Alternatively Lilia could reduce Dom's lifting burden by a drastic course of weight loss tonight -- by donating many pints of her blood.

He was speaking about it on Radio 5 this morning.

He's apparently hurt the muscle around the rotator cuff. He has been told he shouldn't be doing anything but resting this weekend but he says he's going to dance whatever happens.

They're going to practice this afternoon and if he drops Lilia () they will think about removing the lifts. He hopes that with enough injections he'll be able to lift her regardless.

Good on him for keeping going but I wouldn't want to be Lilia having to go into lifts knowing it's pretty likely he's going to drop her!!
