Please Please Save People That Deserve To Be Saved!!!
I am not liking his protest voting and sympathy voting. At the end of the day it's a dancing contest. ALL votes go to charity and ALL the contestants work very hard practising!!
Yes, some of the contestants have more of a natural talent, but why should they be penalised due to the fact you like the pro they are paired with or you don't like the show format. I have no problem with the judges having the final say by the way, it prevents couples who are not the peoples favourite from being knocked out. So there!

I think in fairness Kate should be out - but she has a fab personality.
I would really like Kate and Brendan and Kelly to be in the bottom too - and obviously Brendan and Kelly saved. Just think Brendan needs to be taught a lesson not to do stupid things like a pathetic third lift - when it wasn't a very good lift anyway. Anyway - yes, I agree - Kate doesn't look like she's getting that much better very fast - so she should be out. Although I do like her loads. |

So there! ![]() ![]() It's silly to think (and to expect) people to vote for the very best dance/dancers - If that was the case then phone line for say Alehsa & Kelly in week 3 would be jammed and nothing for the others. It would be hard to argue that any of them topped those 2 that week. So it's just as well people choose other factors when it comes to voting! |

You see if I was a fan of someone and they couldn't dance, I wouldn't want them to be the first voted out but after that I wouldn't vote to save them from embarrassment each week. Christopher Parker springs to mind here, poor boy had to be slaughtered by the judges every week because his fans kept voting.

This is a really great thread - well done for writing it.
However, the British public are rubbish when it comes to voting - they really shouldn't be allowed to vote as they couldn't give a monkeys about the dancing. They vote for their favourites, whether they can dance or not. Its because of their voting that the judges have the final say. If the public voted sensibly, on the dancing, it would still be the same format as last year. However, they are a crazy lot and will vote for their favourite however bad they are at dancing. Give the judges total control of the vote. The British public haven't got a clue. |

Based purely on dancing from tonight, i think John and Kate deserve to be in the bottom 2.

Give the judges total control of the vote. The British public haven't got a clue. (a) the money from votes goes to charity which is why the show exists in the first place (b) if it was just down to the judges, I (and many others) would not be watching - and it wouldn't be a prime time BBC1 show |

Numnum - excellent thread. You've hit the nail on the head. Keep the dancers in. It defies belief that people want the no-hopers to stay in. What on earth for?
I'd rather they left now having enjoyed the experience, without going any further and getting more put-downs.

It can't all be about the dancing anyway because i for one (as a member of the rubbish GBP |

I think the only real no hoper is poor Kate .
She is very pleasant and seems so nice , but she really can't do this . Poor woman . She seems to have no balance , and no ability to stand up . , If it is the 3 inch heels , get her lower ones, cuban heels like the kiddies use . For me , some of the celebrities suffer because of the pro they are paired with , some of them are not the best at choreographing routines to suit their partner . |

I would not be surprised at all if Kenny and Kate escape the bottom two. I thought Kate would be a total disaster but it wasn't as bad as I thought. She was the worst of the night but 16 was mean so I think that will get her some votes.
I think John is a dead cert for the bottom 2 but will probably be saved unless he's against Gethin or Letitia or some of the high scorers. PLus his dance off dance will be a lot better. |

I like so many of them, but I won't vote as there doesn't seem to be any point.

I agree. Last week I felt that Kate and Anton deserved higher marks than they were given. this week The judges were spot on. Except for Len of course. She has played on her injury long enough. Althoug I love Anton and feel for him I think that it is only fair that they be voted out.

As long as the judges continue to be nasty to Kate...the longer she stays in.
In comparison to other dancers shes also been ridiculously undermarked! BTW I'm sure Kate would love to be sitting at home on a Saturday night watching everyone else doing it, it's not her thats voting its the viewers and anyone who thinks that Willie Thorne, Brian Capron or Stephanie had a chance of winning really does need to read up a little bit more. |

Looking at her dance, she really isn't very good. I think it's a GMTV problem!

I want Kate to leave soon but her and Anton were very funny last night so i can see why the public votes them in.

Methinks judging by the fact that Gabby got voted out tonight, due to lack of votes and not due to dancing talent, that kind of proves my point!!
Gabby is going to hunt down all those sympathy voters and do you all some damage!
