Am not a Brendan fan as many may well know - but I genuinely felt sorry for him last week and thought his reaction was appropriate. Also I have been warming to Kelly.


WHY DID HE DO THAT LIFT - IT WASN'T EVEN A GOOD ENOUGH LIFT TO JUSTIFY IT (if you can justify it?)

It was like a sort of half hearted attempt to be 'bad' - when they could have been so good. If he was going to do the lift he should have committed fully and done a fantastic lift - but to lift her two foot off the ground and then put her back - to lose the marks...not worth it.

Worse than Brendan putting the extra lift in was the judge rewarding him 10 points, that is grossly unfair. Alesha and Matt who danced good dances and followed the rules got less for theirs. This is the year when the judges have the final vote.

Totally agree. Still it will keep both Bruno and Brendan on ITT for the majority of the week so it's served its purpose!

Brendan is a Doughnut, A really beautiful dance and had to go and spoil it, if I remember right he did the same last year with Claire King.

I think it would be great if no one voted for Bredan (and note I say Brendan and NOT Kelly - she was ace!) and put them in the bottom two with someone else - and the judges saved Kelly and Brendan - just to teach them a lesson to listen to the judges in future!

Thought that Matt's American smooth was fab too!

I am being grossly unfair if I suggest that Brendan put the extra lift in to guarentee extra attention on both shows and in ITT as they discuiss it - he can storm out and he gets extra 'bad boy' points? Am I cynical?

Why is he so selfish? It's not about you Brendan its about Kelly.

It was totally uncalled for... As soon as I saw the first lift I knew there would be trouble... He had an amazing dance, why he had to ruin it I don't know...

As for Bruno what a moron ... Though you can't blame Kelly and Brendan that he is a moron...

GRRRR he makes me so angry at times... He needs to learn and Bruno isn't helping...

It's a point not to be taken too seriously but how Bruno could award a 10 when the rules were broken I don't understand.

That was a brilliant AS from Kelly and Brendon, one that will be remembered for years to come. Best by far of the night. They really evoked the the great dances of Fred and Ginger.

What is the matter with Brendon? He has been a pro for years and knows the rules. Every sport from snooker to soccer has to have rules. They could have had four 10's . You wonder if he does not want the maximum marks.

Actually I'm finding this year's show giving alot of favouritism to certain contestants. Penny and Kelly seem to have had alot of attention.

I quite like Brendan but what a Doughnut and no comment on Kelly I am not a fan of hers at all. Bruno was stupid for giving the 10 though he knows the rules.

Brendon craves publicity, and by doing 3 lifts he knew he was going to get the publicity he so desires - however bad publicity it is. He has an image to look up to and he isn't the least bit interested in his partners - in fact he's probably jealous of Kelly, cos she's getting all the publicity this year - not him. So, by doing 3 lifts he knows he'll get the publicity he so craves for - whether its good or bad publicity. He just wants to draw attention to himself.

It would have been great if the judges had ignored the extra lift - Brendon would have hated that.

Kelly admitted to the judges that she knew that three lifts was illegal, so she is just as much a doughnut as Brendan.

Bruno was the total prawnhead tonight though!

Brendan and his arrogance drive me insane. I cannot enjoy watching what is just down right cheating especially when Bruno lets him get away with it.

I will never vote for Brendan again he's pushed the boundaries once too often.

Its not so much the lifts that annoy me but Brendans misguided idea that he is doing the world a favour by throwing in an extra lift! :yawn:

Did you hear him when he was being criticied -he was all 'im doing it for the viewers' or some such other nonsense. His ego knows no bounds (and please note, I am not a Brendan hater but he has begun to irritate me). Also surprised that Kelly knew but didnt seem to care?


Other professionals (Darren , Matthew etc) used clever choreography to mix up their dances a little, still make them flashy, yet not break the rules.

What is the point in having rules if Brendan is allowed to flout them . 3 judges reacted exactly as they should , Bruno helps Brendan to make a mockery of the whole show . It wasn't even a great routine .

I didn't like it that Kelly was straight in there having a go at the judges . She and Brendan were in the wrong .

I have to completely disagree , Matt and Flavia were the best by far , best routine , best lifts , and danced better than all the others ...by a mile .
It will be talked about , because they ensured it would .3 lifts , controversy , a 10 , Kelly answering back etc

I preferred Matt and Flavia's dance myself. But I really enjoyed Brendan and Kelly's. I didn't notice the extra lift (because I'm dim?) until it was pointed out by the judges.

I'm now wondering if Brendan has dented Kelly's chances of winning? She is definitely a contender (and I really like her - I can't understand why there are so many negative comments about her, but, each to their own, I guess) but the GBP might see her as culpable in including the lift, like Claire last year. She must have known about the rules. Whether she was able to put up an argument against Brendan is a different matter, of course!

If the GBP do see her as culpable it might turn some of the floating voters away from her and lose them some crucial ground, maybe this week, maybe in the week(s) to come. It would be a shame if this happened as they are a great dancing couple and deserve to go all the way if she continues to dance as she has been doing.

Of course, I could be completely wrong! Maybe the GBP like a rebel .... or two!

We'll have to agree to disagree . Taking away the illegal lift Kelly and Brendon's was the best, although Matt and Flavia'a was also brilliant.

Is it only me who thought that Kelly seemed perfectly aware of the rule breaking? A lot of people on here imply that naughty Brendan robbed poor Kelly of a few marks ... her reaction to him being told of about the lifts was something like "Oh I/we know, but ...".

I do think Brendan's an idiot for putting in a third lift but don't exactly think he was being unfair to her if she was aware that this was rule breaking. She could surely have put her foot down (and let's face it, he turns into a soppy puppy around her - not exactly hard to control).

I was more annoyed at Bruno for the perfect ten.

She certainly did know and colluded with him .Claire did last year .
As for Bruno ....pah !

And Kelly will lose herself votes she doesn't need Brendan to do that for her .
