You've got to admit: Brendan was an idiot last night. It was so unnecessary and just made it look like he didn't have enough faith that Kelly's dancing alone would be good enough to gain them the spotlight.

Really cheapens the whole getting a 10, at least when Craig flashes a 10 you know they earned it.

I agree - I think the judges have already been a bit free with the tens - it's only the start of the series and they have already started giving them out. I don't think any of the performances have been 'perfect' yet.

Ohh even some of the biggest Brendan lovers I know are p*ssed with him... We're not blinded by his moronic lift, we're actually quite annoyed... But he is our fav so in acouple days the anger subsides and we're back to supporting him again ...

Do you feel a bit let down by the lift?

I completely understood why he did it with Claire, she wasn't that good and it now appears they didn't like each other so fair enough put on a show for the viewers, but Kelly is good and these extra lifts will turn the public against him.

I like Brendan but what he did last night was disrespectful to the other pros that played by the rules.

lol, to be fair, by this stage I can't even see what there is to support about him. He just consistently does such stupid things.

Hi Dippy- actaully Anton lifted kate last night too- something that most people haven't commented on!

I don't think Brendan and Kelly should go because of what happened - but I think something slightly more punishing should have happened - just to show everyone in the comp that you have to stick to the rules. Bruno's own fault for marking them - and in my opinion because it was such blatent rule breaking for effect they should have all given them very VERY low marks - and then hopefully they would have been in the dance-off and then had to be saved (and obviously would have been!) by the judges! Just to show Brendan he needs to keep teh judges on his side. Obviously this is just wishful thinking - but still!

Yeah but that was unintentional, her legs flailing everywhere not having a clue what they were doing, it was unintentional and their scores were 3's and 4 - they hardly gained from it!

I don't think he meant to though - it was an accident.

I am not defending the 10 only that the order was right and last year people were penalised even for unintentional lifts- people want the rules abided by then they should apply to all even if the dancers are so rubbish they don't deserve a score!

Whatever- the result should have been Kate going home!

But Kate and Anton's entire dance was penalised! They were rightfully bottom of the leader board but you can't argue with the public vote.

When I saw the second, little lift so early on I wondered a) if thats their two lifts why weren't they more spectacular? & b) oh no, he's going to be an ar$e and put a third lift in

I genuinely think there's got to be something wrong with someone so incapable of learning from their past mistakes, or so hell-bent on self-sabotage.

If she is the only one being marked why are the judges penalising Brendan?

I am sensing a backlash against Kelly and Brendan now - because of what happened - because Gabby had to go when she tried her best, but Brendan and Kelly refused to stick to the rules.

I also sense a big backlash against Kate and Anton....its all getting a bit nasty....
