BEcause if they based it on that then all the dancers could stick loads of lifts and things in and the judges would have to ignore it. Of course they are marking them both - when Brendan made the mistake last week Len marked them down.

Further more - a lot of the marking goes on the choreography because it how it shows off the dancers.

IMO, if these rules are as important as the judges are making out, then the rule-breaks should be noticed during practice or rehearsal and stopped before Saturday.

The professionals shouldn't be allowed to mess things up for their partners in that way.

There's a difference between knowing it's against the rules and knowing it's such a big deal.

I've been watching SCD for a while, and I didn't know extra lifts were the sin of sins, as they now seem to be.

It's up to Brendan, as the professional, to make sure they choreograph a dance that fits the rules.

Also (previous post) I think that if it's really so big a thing, it should be noticed and stopped before Saturday night.

What is shocking is that Craig said it was worth a 10 without the lift.

Ummm.... hello? ??!

Did he even watch when they were in hold? Frequent loss of body contact (which they managed to point out for Alisha), and Kelly doesn't seem to be able to do any heel leads.

I think it was pretty obvious from their first dance that it was going to be a case of Judges Favourites

The dances are seen in rehearsal...why was nothing said then?...it didn't sound like they were warned before hand and did the lifts anyway,

Brendan and Kelly were like lambs to the slaughter...and they were the best on the night

Len Goodman is a hypocrite blaming the public when he voted off the better dancers last night!

for all we know it could have been a last minute thing. Kelly was actually trying to choreograph some of the dance so she might have said she wanted the lifts. Who knows

That`s Brendan for you ! He knew only two lifts were allowed performing the AS. Even Kelly knew !

I think it's more of a big thing this year as Brendan continually breaks them, he had even been warned the week before.

It wouldn't matter if they were pulled up in practice Brendan would without a doubt still do it.
