totally agree,

No one is disputing that the dance was great, it's the fact an extra lift was illegally included and rather than deduct marks accordingly a judge decided that it was a perfect performance! I personally preferred Matt's AS and given the criteria set by Bruno he too should have received a 10 because not only was a very good dance it was also within the rules!!!

You and some others need to take a long, hard look at some of Len's scores tonight. How interesting that his blatant over-marking of some of the dross is attracting so little comment.

Honestly...I'm just arguing for a bit of perspective here.

For what it's worth i thought i thought Kelly and Brendan's dance was fantastic, but Kelly admitted she knew they were breaking the rules,so if she was that bothered about it she surely could have said to Brendan she wasn't comfortable doing it.

Easy answer to breaking the rules.
Kick them out the competition.

yeh but a 10 is saved for perfection and it wasnt perfect because they had an extra lift in there..... len did over mark on some of the dances though! !!

Even without the extra lift, it shouldn't have been a 10. A 9 at most 8 if you deduct for the lift. IMO.

I don't remember Kelly saying that, but I am now going to watch it again.

Len overmarks, granted. But as he consistently does it it ensures noone has an unfair advantage over anyone else. Bruno doing what he did tonight could theoretically affect who goes tonight. He should have given an 8 and maybe those ridiculous extra two marks will keep Kelly and the Doughnut out of the bottom two?? I dont think for a minute they are in danger of going, but you see the point I am making.

Just want to add that, as it stands, I want Kelly and Brendan to win the entire thing, so I am not biased against them.

Bruno giving a perfect score after an illegal lift angered me greatly. even more so because both kelly and brendon knew it shouldnt have been included, but included it anyway....showing complete lack of respect for the rules. and that is a disgrace. Brendon's arrogance annoys me.

even bigger a disgrace than Brendon's arrogance in adding an extra lift despite knowing it wasnt allowed, is Bruno giving a 10. they need a new judge next year. a competent judge who bloody downgrades when rules are broken! the dance cant be perfect with an illegal lift in.

Well you could argue that a '10' is never justified.

My point is that Bruno's 10 for Kelly is dead easy to criticise. Len's 6, 6 and 7 for Kate, Kenny and John if anything makes more of a mockery of the 'competition' but is conveniently ignored by many.

I thought it was a 9/10 bordering 10/10. As its still early in the competition and Kelly can still improve I would have given 9/10

I thought (without the extra lift of course) that it was a 9 or 10 performance... Personally I loved it so would have given it a 10...

WITH the lift it was a 8 dance end of... If Bruno wanted to be 'different' a 9 was the highest he should have gone, or gone totally the other way and give them a 3 for every lift ...

if it was not for brendon brecking the rules it would had been easily 4 10 across the board

exactly!!! that's the ****ing point!!!!

by throwing in an illegal lift he ruined the opportunity for them to have a minimum of score of 37 but probably more

I don't see any real hysteria, just discussion about a talking point on the show. We would all like to see a show full of stylish, entertaining performances, but the show has rules that ALL the contestants should abide by or get marks deducted by ALL judges.

Bruno's a plonker...but it would be silly to blow one extra point out of proportion wouldn't it?”

I don't think any of the comments on here are OTT they are just stating facts, a 10 is for a faultless dance and it's not faultless if a rule was broken, it's not as if Bruno didn't notice it, it was blatant and pointed out by all the other judges.

Yes Len does overmark but he does for most people, but he doesn't give a perfect 10 when a rule break has taken place.

I enjoyed Brendan and Kelly's dance, it's a shame Brendan had to do his usual and spoil it.

Like everyone else here, I am somewhat angry and appalled at the illegal lift and the score of 10 it achieved.

Really, what is the point of rules when people keep breaking them?

I think that the arrogance of the pair of them should be dealt with by getting rid of them. When personalities seem to believe that they come before the show, then it's time to get in some new blood...people who will respect the competition and the rules.

Yes, there was strange marking going on elsewhere tonight but that's for another thread...

I couldn't disagree more. Len is as guilty of favouritism and inconsistency as any of the judges.

I prefer Craig and Arlene because they give themselves space to mark fairly.

It' not always Brendan who broke the rules. It is whenever Brendan broke the rule it was ALWAYS mentioned and debated. Others did it too but they were hardly mentioned. Last year Carol and Matthew's American Smooth has 3 lifts too but only Craig mentioned it. I don't think people even paid attention to it afterward. But since it's Brendan, it's a completely different story. See how many threads have been talking about this now and I expect more to come next week in ITT.

Bruno should be put out to grass. His comments are pointless, his bias once again is blantant and giving Kelly a 10 when she broke the rules (or selfish Brendan did) is ridiculous.

Craig, though bitchy, has been fairly sensible this series...but Bruno is a div.

I am no fan of Len and much prefer Craig and Arlene as well. Was just making the point that I think Len is at least consistent in his overmarking!

Yes - most other competitions would have done this.
