Bruno was very stupid tonight, he should have just deducted one point for the extra lift and given them a 9, no harm done. By giving a 10 he's annoyed a lot of people and unfortunately some of this annoyance may be thrown at Brendan and Kelly, they may resent them getting a 10 when breaking a rule.

I know that Bruno giving them a 10 was not their fault, but it could affect Brendan and Kelly as well.

Yes...it's clear that I have different priorities to many.

As far as the judging goes, getting them roughly in the right order is by far the most important issue for me. To be fair, the judges manage that by and large...although some individual scores are highly questionable...as we've seen tonight.

It would surprise me because it's a Saturday evening, light entertainment Celebreality talent show...not a professional dance competition.

I don't dislike any of the competitors but I have read some unflattering things about both Brendan and Kelly on the forums and I just feel that this may heighten things a bit, which is sad.

Like you say, Brendan was stupid to include the extra lift, but Bruno hasn't helped the situation

I am not sure how these things are scored. However, isn't it the judges discretion as to if they take points of or not?

How was brendan allowed to get away with this tonight? It outraged me that he was getting pissed off at the judges for saying he shouldn't have done three lifts ITS THE RULES YOU ARROGANT IDIOT!!!! If they had stuck to two lifts and got a ten it would be so understandable...

Bruno was so out of order ... how can he give a ten...a ten is for perfection and not only was it not perfect but they BROKE THE RULES!!! ffs its ridiculous! I bet if Matt and Alesha had done three lifts they would have got slated for it! I'm so angry!

oh and also, the rest of the dancers and the audicen all seemed a bit perplexed that brendan and kelly got a ten! and unfortunately i think it'll take it away from them that they got the first 10 of the series because it was actually wrongly given because they broke the rules! bruno is a ****!

It might be an entertainment show, but there are rules that need to followed otherwise you will have a free for all and how can a dance be judged then???

The point is though that apart from Bruno they WERE slated for it... The other three judges looked like they wanted to hit Brendan (and so did I)... Craig said it was a 10 dance until the last lift so he did take 2 points away... They didn't get away with it, just Bruno is a moron... If they had gotten away with it they would have got all 10s...

I'm not defending him btw because he annoyed me greatly but he didn't get away with it either...

I thought Kelly and Brendan's performance was worthy of a ten except for that extra lift, so 9 was appropriate. However, Bruno was obviously enthralled and didn't think it mattered that much. They were terrific.

yeah that is true, i was getting carried away - i take that back!! I still dont get why brendan was annoyed though that the judges were having a go at them doing three lifts.....

I really don't care about the whole Kelly and Brendan debate, but I think that any obvious "rule-breaking" should be punished. The dance was sincerely good, and didn't need any extra lifts. That was typical stupid Brendan mentality. Kelly obviously knew that he was breaking the rules, but maybe she doesn't have enough personality to say "no". I think Bruno should never have given the 10, but tonight he seemed to be on "speed" or something. Look at the absolut unnecessary argument about Alesha and Matt's dance (e.g. Len didn't slate them, but Bruno still had to defend them against some invisilbe evil; they are my favourites by the way, but I don't think their dance was perfect).

well if kelly deserved a ten then so did aleisha and matthew and matt and flavia.

I think some of the judges are too all over kelly. she seems a lovely woman and undoubtedly beautiful however she is no big star really. she was naff on big breakfast and hasnt had a glittering career. i dont know why they all bow down to her?

I actually didn't like Alesha and Matthews much, it was good but didn't shine for me... Though I loved Matt and Flavias ... But without the extra lift for me Brendan and Kellys was the best...

Brendan and kelly were amazing tonight and thats why it has annoyed me more that they did three lifts!!! if they had stuck to two lifts they would have got phenomenal marks!!

This is what I'm on about. They did NOT get away with it. Blatantly.

One out of four judges stupidly failed to penalise them....but they received at least a 3 point deduction for one 'illegal' lift if the other three's comments are anything to go by. If all the judges had ignored it fair enough....but one extra point does not justify 'they got away with it' and 'it makes a mockery of the competition'.

Why not get 'angry' at some of the comparatively woeful efforts tonight that were equally if not more over-marked?

I would agree that Kelly is being favoured....but no more than Alesha and Penny on the evidence so far.
