Heard singer Adele for the first time

Last night I was watching a programme on Channel Four and heard a girl singer I hadn't heard before called Adele. I really liked her. Her voice was good. She didn't sound like all the other new girl singers around.

She will be performing in the Little Noise concert for Mencap on 22 November. Others on are Newton Faulkner and Will Young who is headlining. All tickets sold!

I have heard Hometown Glory which I like but I thought she sounded exactly like Amy Winehouse....

She's a beautiful singer. I'm not sure if you still can, but a week or two ago she did a session for Radio 1 and you could download for free the live version of Hometown glory.

Yeah, I first heard about her in January and I've been keeping an eye on her all year. She does have a very good voice so hopefully she'll have the songs to match. I also hope she doesn't get over-hyped and over-exposed so early in her career. I don't think that pressure is good for very young singer-songwriters like her who will only improve.

Have a look at this blog entry I made for some other new, young, British female artists .

An exceptional voice, Hometown Glory is just fabulous IMHO.

There are a few of her songs on there to listen to.
Hometown Glory is great and so is Melt My Heart To Stone.
