Love Alesha & Matthew for three reasons:
1) Real (well believable to me anyway) chemistry and loads of it;
2) She's genuine in her bubbliness (unlike others I won't mention here)
3) She can dance yes, but still improves week by week especially in the ballroom....

These things make me wanna watch them and love them;
So to answer the initial question:
I think it comes pretty close to you being the only one out there thinking not much of this partnership.....
Next please......:yawn:

I think Matt has the like-abliity factor, I am starting to find Alesha a little bit annoying. But like anyone who does 2 good dances early in the series, chances are they can't keep a high standard for every dance.

I posted it elsewhere but want to response to this point.

Totally confused by what Matthew can do to push Alesha more than at present. Yesterday, she was given complicated changes of rhythm (mentioned by Craig); a tap-style sequence and a change of mood at the end. I'm not counting seconds: but with one lift and a very small lift, Alesha most probably spent more time dancing than any other AS.

Can you given examples of what other professionals are doing to showcase their celebrities talents more than Matthew is doing Alesha?

There have been three great routines so far, danced really well by Alesha but choreographed by Matthew.

Paace - Point taken, sorry. (Written without my brain in gear)”

As I said, for me the routines lack sparkle - they're nice but there is little WOW factor. If you compare Alesha's jive to other great jives it falls far short, the movement and energy wasn't comparable to past contestants and to be honest I thought Gabby and James' jive was more entertaining, they moved around the floor where as Alesha and Matt seemed to stay in one area, Gabbys flicks and kicks were much more precise and the routine was at a much faster pace.

Although I'm a B&K supporter I wouldn't actually be upset if M&A won the title as I do think she dances well I just think she's capable of much more which I'm sure we will see in the coming weeks as the competition hots up.

^^ puffle as an Alesha and Matt fan I agree about the jive, despite being her highest mark, it's actually my least favourite dance of hers (i think it did deserve the top spot though, mainly out of default as they were the only ones in the top four that didn't make a major mistake).

However I'm surprised you think she lacks sparkle, IMO her performance factor is her biggest strength (and Gabby's weakness).

Thanks Claire2281. Having to 'report to the mods', brought back memories of having to report to my old school Headmaster for numerous minor transgressions, I was repeatedly guilty off.
