Its hardly Anton's fault is it??? Its ours, the Great British Public!!

wow, didn't notice that when I watched - certainly they edited part of the jugdes argument, I'm sure Len accused Bruno of speaking out of his ar$e.

Just watched it back - yep, Bruce's remarks have gone

Kelly is getting smugger and smugger by the week. Her reaction to getting through was so false.

I did find it funny when Len and Bruno were arguing that at first Kelly was giving it loads and looked happy, but when Len and Arlene had their say she didn't and Dom started applauding them.

Although having said that I can certainly see why ITV wouldn't exactly be beating the doors down to get Kate and/or Fiona to appear on 'Dancing On Ice' !!”

Gabby wanted to do Dancing on Ice but the Beeb wanted her to do Strictly.

I have been very vocal about the fact that I didn't like Gabby before this series started, and was dreading her being on.

However, I have been sitting watching the results in tears over the sheer unfairness of this result. Gabby and Penny should absolutely not have been in the bottom 2. And truthfully, I wanted Gabby to stay in asI thought her performance in the dance off was better.

The public who voted for Kate should be bloody well ashamed of themselves. Maybe they thought it would be Kenny to go, or Dom, or Gethin instead of her, but they have robbed the competition of one of the best dancers there.

This series is fast becoming a farce, and honestly I feel that angry now, that I'm not even sure if I will continue watching.

I know that Kate has been banging on about, "I can do better, I am getting there" But the truth is that she will never be the same standard that Gabby or Penny were at already, and if she gets voted out next week, then this was all for nothing. If she had a chance to get to the final I would say ok fair enough, but is this ever going to happen?? Not a flyings pig's chance.

I am seriously miffed, and I'm truly sorry that Gabby has gone. It was undeserved.

Blinking joke!

Before I comment, I don't vote.

But why the hell should they. Every week, several times during each show and then after the results people are told to vote for their favourite. Not best. Not most improved. Favourite. They can't have it both ways.

Plus, they earned their money and it's nobody else's place to say how they should spend it, or that they should be ashamed of spending it one way because it's not the way someone else thinks they should.

Sorry, but that sort of attitude really annoys me. Who are you or anyone else to judge how someone else thinks and feels.

I don't think that's true; she was chained to ITV and they wouldn't let her do SCD, even though she was practically booked for it, and they wanted her to do DOI instead. So she left ITV for the Beeb, as I understand it.

I agree.

It's just a tv show people's lives and careers are not at stake.

Enjoyed the pro Paso tonight, it was fab. Felt SOO bad for Ian and Penny being in the bottom two. I'm going to vote for them again next week if their next dance is as enjoyable to watch. I'm happy cause Claudia mentioned that Mr Stewart is on ITT this week!

I didnt think anything... it's too dangerous/pointless to try and interpret every move/remark/facial twitch if you ask me! She's quite an impulsive girl for one (which she needs to control unfortunately for live tv!), but also as neither a kelly lover nor hater, trying to be impartial I think she would have been doomed whatever reaction she would have shown at that point. It's also hard for us to imagine the situation last night, the heat of the moment, being swept up with it all etc...

I do wish people would stop with the insults against the dancers, pro or celeb, and the voters. Your favorites/better dancers go early. It's nothing new.

To blame the celeb for still being there is both pointless and ridiculous.

This will happen not matter what the rules are. But the change in the rules allowing the judges, not equal, but double the say in the result than the viewers is what is causing an escalation of what has happened naturally in previous years.

Let's face it. They overmarked Emma repeatedly last year and she was in the bottom two a lot as a result. Undermarking and being rude has the opposite effect. If they haven't figured this out after 5 years they deserve everything they get. Tough.”

Well this makes me think something else, and quite frankly all of these shows should be taken with a pinch of salt anyway imo. We probably don't know the half of it ... But if what you say is how it really seems to work then I wouldn't be shocked to find out that they in fact do this on purpose. And yea sure the judges all looked shocked and shake their heads in anger and dismay but really it's done the trick and got everyone all worked up and talking about it and so their job is done...

As for this^ If only everyone realised this then there wouldn't be so many bitchy and nasty comments on this forum.

Can you imagine the outrage! ”

Lula Mae - I also understand what you are saying

My point is that the judges, through their scores, are showing who they feel are the top dancers that particular night. There is no need to get personal - CR-H for all his faults delivers his critique fairly upfront without resorting to full-on nasty, personal comments, unlike one of the others in particular. I'll leave Bruno out of the equation - who after Saturday proved he's a one off

If they all criticised fairly, then perhaps the less gifted dancers would be judged, and be voted for, by the GBP much fairer.

Incidentally it has to be recognised that the lines are open all week before the actual final dances are seen on Saturday, therefore it is a popularity competition as much as anything else.

I hope this reads as I want it to

Surely you meant Gabby wanted to do strictly but ITV wanted her to do DOI.

Edit - someone got there before me!

Do you think Kelly and Brendan were joking when they said the other celebs/pros hardly talked to them?
I like Kelly but can never tell when she is being serious and when she has her tongue placed firmly in her cheek.

Absolutely fair point, Duryea, about how people spend their earned money, I will take that back as yours is a fair comment.

I don't always vote for the "best" dancer, however, I would never vote for someone in a competition who is obviously very lacking. or in fact out of sympathy (which, whether you agree or not, I would bet that most of the votes were for that reason, or like Len said last week, "to watch car-crash" telly) I always have a top 3 every week, and I can tell you that Kate has never been in that top 3.

If it was truly about your "favourite" why not dispense with the whole competition format and just have it on an entertainment basis with no judges or voting.

I understand that your opinion differs from mine, and that is absolutley fair enough, but in my opinion, it should be for the better dancers to stay in. That is my idea of fair.

Thank you, duryea! Well said. It is so irritating when people feel entitled to preach to others about feeling 'shame' (and worse). People are quite rightly voting for their favourites (as they are explicitly asked to do). They are just spending their own money - which, in the final analysis, is going to charity. Where the hell should shame come into it?? It's a bloody entertainment show and this is meant to be entertainment, not the last days of Rome.

Grrr, sorry, but it seems to me that the 'silly british public' are entitled to vote however they see fit. Whether or not anyone understands or respects that decision, it is still a point of the show to pick up the phone and vote for the person we want to see dancing again. At least until the executive producers of the show say otherwise. It's all money for a good cause in the end.

its was kind of obvious penny wasnt going anywhere when claudia had just been shown saying rod was going to be on itt discussing how penny was getting on.

Being prerecorded if penny had gone that would of been changed.

silly pre recorded show!!!! i disliked gabby and james the most but even i welled up when they went and felt very sorry for them. if i was kate i would be sooooo embarrassed

I've noticed a lot of the top Standard ladies going for similar dress styles recently (feathers and fur and the like) - it must be coming into fashion!
