Once again we saw a potential finalist go, at the silly whim of the voters. Neither should have been in the bottom two, but for me Gabby was the better dancer.

I thought Gabby was better in the dance-off...and logically IMO should have stayed for that reason...else why have a dance-off?
Having said that Gabby's dancing overall did nothing for me...too robotic. I'm quite pleased she's gone because I didn't particularly like her either. Penny is more watchable and more likely to produce something special at some point.

My thoughts exactly. Gabby was slightly better in the dance off (Penny put everything into it but lost the technique). But overall i'm glad about the result.
Penny. Her performances had warmth and wow factor. Gabby was too clinical, and not as competent a dancer as a gymnast. different discipline.
Gabby for me. Not her fault, probably, but whenever the tempo was raised, Penny seemed to me to be dancing in treacle.
Gabby is, as Craig said, the more versatile, she's more graceful and has more potential to improve. Penny might have the edge in Ballroom, but she's no good at Latin. Arlene, Len and Bruno all know what's needed in the samba and their voting for Penny goes against everything they've said in the past.
Penny is more instinctive while Gabby is more technically correct but I could see what Arlene was saying about being too clean and clinical.
Definately Gabby.
I think they kept Penny because Rod Stewart pops in occasionally and she's higher profile.... Rods also on ITT next week, which would have been weird if Penny was no longer on it.

Penny. Her quickstep and samba seemed a lot better than Gabby's. I think Gabby was very good, but not so good at performing. And I don't think she was saved just because of Rod. He's not going to be there that much to be worth it, and if anything, I've felt the programmes have made a bigger hoo-ha of having the two married couples fighting it out. Never thought Mr Logan would beat Mrs L though.
