I was disappointed to see both Gabby and Penny in the bottom two, but was annoyed with James' remark that they should have been in the top three.

His arrogance is astounding and actually made me pleased they were booted out.

To you arrogance, to me the truth.

I dont think it was said in an arrogant way. I think he genuinely believed that Gabby was good enough for top 3 (as did i).

Me too, he was gutted at the unjust result and spoke from the heart

He was just saying in his view Gabby should have been in the top 3 (he wasn't emphasizing himself)........nothing wrong with him expressing his opinion.

I agree

I think he said "she should have been in the top three," which is more understandable because he genuinely thought Gabby was one of the best there. That was my interpretation, although I might have misheard.

I think he was very restrained! I think he was right too...

I am not a big James fan and I know he wasn't happy with the result but I believe he said 'she' should have been in the top 3.

Oh I don't think so. How can you possibly conclude what attitude a person has based on a off the cuff remark made at a moment like that!?

I find him less arrogant that Hopalong Garraway who seems to think the public loves her. No dear, they just gave you a popular partner. I hope the scales drop from the public's eyes next week, but somehow I doubt it.

erm he thought they were good enough to be in the top 3 - what did u want him to say?? "yeh bottom 2 material us, way more useless than kate and anton or kenny and ola??":confused

I'd far rather people were honest about their abilities than did the fake "what me??? a good dancer??" when they get 8s and 9s

Well I missed it and I have to say that I don't care very much- I like him (not her though) and he is right they shouldn't be leaving yet- top 3 or no.

All of the dancers have a certain amount of arrogance- how else could they perform and James is a lovely lovely man (am saying that having never met him but thats how he seems to me through the TV) and I am sad that he has gone.

Am hoping next series that he has a partner that is a) a great dancer and b) someone that i like

Fair enough, he might have believed she was good enough, but it is a reality show, and as we have seen tonight, the competition is open to all and sundry.

Nobody can claim they deserve a place in the final until results on semi-final night.

I'm more sorry for Gabby, James can still be in the comp with the pro dances, Gabby is out, and had wnated this for quite a while, its a shame her run had to be cut unjustly short. Maybe she wouldn't have got to the final but she should have got further into the show at least.

I haven't posted here much at all, and I guess in this situation, I am in the minority.

But, I stick to my opinion as I duck the virtual objects thrown at me.

James said and I quote: "SHE should have been in the top three", not WE. (I've just looked that particular part back, before I posted my comment.)

The cumulative scores for Gabby and James made them equal 3rd with Penny. So it is the truth.

Horrible result tonight. I was moved even though I knew the result.
