However, back to the paso : sorry folks but I thought it was the worst pro group dance on any of the series, and probably not that much better than the guys group dance on show one of this series.

Paso it wasn't - the music was totally wrong; wrong tempo, far too slow. Half the dance wasn't a paso at all; the costumes were more suitable for cha cha, and to be honest when they were supposed to be dancing in syncranisation (excuse spelling) with each other, the couples were not always together, proving that at any given time, at least some of them were dancing OFF TIME.”

em sorry i may be thick here but what do you mean theres 2 sides to every coin?

I didn't think it was a particularly good demonstration of paso.

Didn't think it was the best paso dem we've ever seen, but I did enjoy the routine.

Particularly liked the 'bullet time' move from the boys when the music changed to a song from The Matrix soundtrack

Mixed reaction from me. I've just re-watched it on YouTube and there were just too many dancers. I would have preferred it if there'd been just Karen & Brendan, the Cutlers and the Jordans. That doesn't mean I don't like the other couples.

Oh so it was Paso then?
And I thought they were rehearsing pantomime early.

The foxtrot tonight was also painful in sympathy. Craig was squirming in his seat.

Well i can't say i was quite so excited by the foxtrot but they are pretty much the creme de la creme of the ballroom world so

That Foxtrot was an amazing piece of dancing by two of the best ballroom dancers in the world. If Craig didn't appreciate the technical work of that performance then he needs to find a different show to work on!

Cant remember their names but does the female have to have her head nearly 45 degrees to her body for a foxtrot.
She looked most uncomfortable.

Ohh I've just seen an outstanding foxtrot on youtube by Luca and Lorraine Barrichi accompanied by fab accordion music.

Their names are Timothy Howson and Joanne Bolton, Englands No 1 Ballroom couple. They are absolutely fantastic. Perhaps amongst all the showmanship that we see on SCD, their skill may not have been appreciated, but their showdances as well as competition performances are outstanding.

They are dancing in Blackpool on 18th November in the World Ballroom Championships, representing England. My ticket is booked and I cannot wait.

It was very much a Matrix themed piece also including the split paso capes worn by the men which resembled the Matrix trenchcoats. But overall I didn't like it, the paso that is not the film.
I always thought the Propellerheads remix of On Her Majesty's Secret Service might work as a Paso but now maybe not. Don't think Spybreak worked as well as Seven Nation Army.

The rest of the pro dances were beautiful, love the foxtrot and rumba
I thought the ballroom couple were just amazing to watch, found the fur tails offputting the first time watching though. Just checking the net I've seen they've competed twice in London in the last six months. It would have been so easy to see ballroom competitions had I known there were on.
Loved Matthew and Nicole's rumba and to one of my favourite songs. Found my attention being drawn more to Nicole in this one compared to last year.

Another one in the 'didn't like' camp I'm afraid. Hard to pin point exactly what was wrong, I love the music, love the paso, but I think the two just didn't gell for me, plus, as others have said, too many dancers.

I thought it was absolutely fantastic and very dramatic. We all guessed that it was Karen's choreography as well.

One of the things I like about the pro dances is the chance to see an interpretation of the dance not fettered by competition rules .
The paso steps and moves were all in there. I loved it .
