Time for a new programme?

Does anyone feel that SCD has run its course?
It's maybe time for a new dancing programme with a new format?
What do you think?

No way Im loving it still despite the problems of this year. I love the fact that we see more pro dances I just wish the results show was still on Sat.
But despite the problems of this year Id be lost without strictly (sad I know!!)

I would hate to see SCD go! I love the programme and I love seeing the pros and it wouldn't be the same if they had a different type of dance related programme! it would be awful actually! I do think they need to sort SCD out though! I dont like the fact they've changed the results show and the way the final couple is decided ... the bbc should bring the focus back on the dancing and the show without trying to force it to become and entertainment programme. it is entertaining for what it is!

Nope. SCD still floats my boat! Many other dance formats have tried and failed - don't fix what isn't broken I say.

I agree. I hate the results show being on Sunday, but I love seeing more pro dances.

I honestly don't think that SCD has run its course. I still love the program although I was gobsmacked by the result. I'm always looking forward to a new series of Strictly, and this year it wasn't any differrent. I do hope there is another one next year. It's just great family entertainment for the saturday evenings.

I was thinking along similar lines after last night's show. It had a touch of "this has been done before" about it. Brendan's illegal lift, Bruno's ridiculous 10, Kate being kept in over more competent dancers. I've hardly watched ITT this time around and only one of the Sunday shows. In saying that I will watch again on Saturday but, not with the same anticipation and eagerness I have in previous series.

No...it's an excellent format...despite the naff and ineffective 'tweaks'.

It may not be highbrow entertainment but it's a show which towers over its imitators...cringeworthy presenters and bonkers judges notwithstanding.

No, I still love strictly, I wish they hadn’t messed around with the format though.

I wonder if they will go back to the original format next time.

No I still love it....I just don't think they should have messed with the original format.

Although one thing they probably should change is being able to vote all week long rather than just for a few hours after the dancing because it means people are just voting for their favourite personalities and not the dancing!

I agree. I think the change in format has made it all feel a bit 'tired' this year as previously so much action has been packed into the one program and now it just seems that they want to stretch it out.

Take note BBC that you may find a lot more not so 'strictly' fans switching off before too long if you do not revert to the old format

I still love to watch the dancing part of it. I may not like some of the results and the judges are tiresome at times but overall i still love Strictly and wouldn't want to see it go. I think it's great that we are getting to see more pro dances in the Sunday show but I am sure they are all perfectly capable of doing these live on the saturday seeing as that's when they film them anyway. Switch the results back to saturday and i'll be happy.
