Another change of format!!

Maybe, to prevent the 'underdogs' from staying in over the ones that can actually dance, what they should do is have the top 5, in the early stages, automatically go through and to have the rest voted for by the public!

An alternative is to have a separate phone-in where you vote for your favourite couple so they can get their own little trophy at the end of the series.

I accept that everyone has the right to vote for who they want to stay, but protest and sympathy voting is spoiling my enjoyment. Imagine if Mark got voted out last year over someone like Kate!!!

The only problem there is Bruno giving even more outrageous marks I think

Thanks! Hopefully, a member of the beeb is reading the posts on DS and will take it on board!

If you are from the BBC and work on Strictly Come Dancing, check out my suggestions.
It makes things fair for everyone!

Err......it's a competition! why should it be "fair". This sort of namby-pamby attitude is why we have so few world class sports people any more because at school all the competitiveness has gone out of sport!

"Oh dear, little Johnny might be upset if he doesn't get a medal - lets give them all one just for competing", tough titty - coming 6th gets nothing mate, try harder!!!

Oh I know it's a competition, I just want it to be a dance competition instead of a popularity competition!

I just thought that if they had a separate phone-in for your favourite couple as well as a phone in for the best dancers it'll cut down on the sympathy voting.

So if your favourite is already through then you dont need to vote. Hence less revenue, that wont do!

I remember my wife suggesting it was a shame on the final evening of the ice skating that all three couples didn't get to skate the Bolero (spelling?). One was voted out on the first phone vote and then the winners crowned after the second phone vote (after the Bolero). Brilliant, doubling the revenue!!

Ah but a few of the peoples favourites would not automatically qualify, so it's would still be 'ch-ching'!

...... or maybe just go back to the roots of the series and get complete amateurs who genuinely want to dance (take a bow Kate & Kenny ) , not experienced dancers or WAGS

That wouldn't be fair because the judges would just over score there favourite couples regardless of how they danced to keep them out of the bottom two.

i thinkn you should simply vote for who you want out.

It would be fair if the judges didnt give such ridiculous marks to certain couples...

I agree wholeheartedly.

Let's have a level playing field, either all trained dancers or total non dancers not a mix.
