Is it legal/possible to transfer iTunes videos/TV shows to DVD for personal use?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it's legal and technically possible to transfer iTunes videos and TV shows to DVD - strictly for personal use as I would love to watch the music videos and TV shows that I've downloaded on my TV.

I suspect that it's not legal or technically possible due to the DRM but I thought I'd check.

Many thanks,

Steve.

I believe legally you cannot copy to DVD due to the DRM

Not without hacking the DRM (which is no doubt possible). I guess that's what Apple TV was designed for (which is now part ofApple's Leopard OS X OS) otherwise it's playing full sceen and outputting to your TV via an appropriate card or DVI to HDMI cable (if your TV has an HD input).

Yes, it's legal for personal use, but you have to remove the DRM protect at first, then you can burn it to DVD.
If you don't know how to do that, you may take a look at this guide, it's about how to burn iTunes movie to DVD
