Karen Hardy will be on Breakfast, to give her views about that result, currently being advertised as scheduled for 8.50am (though times can vary a bit).

Just turned on BBC & the sports guy said he was really looking forward to Karen Hardy's bit this morning as she is absolutely bursting with the latest information. Karen is always good - maybe this will shed some more light!

Couldn't agree more about what she said about the judges. They aren't the ones who should judge with emotion.

Karen's dress was gorgeous this morning. She was full of praise for Gabby, not too hard on Kate. No real news as was intimated by the sports guy. Oh well. I always enjoy listening to Karen speak - she is very good at it - maybe she should go into presenting - nah, she loves dance too much! But she would be good!

I must have missed it. I turned it on at 8:53 and she wasn't on!
What time was it on?

Sorry, but Karen is just toeing the BBC party line. Disappointing.

Oh well sounds like Karen did n't say anything controversial, I suppose she would n't would she? Wants to strictly dance again another day!

Can't blame her - Bill changed the subject directly to Kate after the bit about Gabby - Penny's name did not come up at all. She said the bottom 2 should have been either Kate, Kenny or John and that the public was voting to keep it entertaining etc. She also talked about the 10 and said it shouldn't have been given and that instead of the b*tching on tv amongst the judges that the head judges should have maybe taken Bruno away from table and pulled him into line.
I don't think she would have been allowed to come on and say anything too detrimental to anyone. Ive not heard her be overly critical of anyone - although she doesn't say someone is 'great' unless they are. Which is probably why she would make a good/fair judge. Beeb, however, want the OTT drama of the judges they already have - it makes the ratings grow.

She did say Bruno was outrageous for giving 10 and len was there to keep them in order and he should have taken him out the back and slapped him .

I also think by omitting to mention Penny and praising Gabby so much it was obvious what Karen thought and she did say they should have marked her higher .

it was interesting to hear the female news anchor say that Gabby was a competitive female kicked out early, but a competitive male goes right through to the final (Matt last year)

I don't really get the point of Karen being there on a Monday. Last year they had the knocked out couple interviewed on a Monday instead, and this morning would have been potentially a great interview, given the rights or wrongs of what happened on Saturday.

Karen doesn't tell me anything I don't already know- Bruno was wrong to give a 10, shock at the result, who should have been in bottom 3, the judges behaviour etc- so what's the point?

If they had her on later in the week assessing the dances to come or something along those lines, fair enough, but personally I'd have far preferred an interview with Gabby and James.

I thought that was very telling.

They will be on ITT tonight then yes maybe breakfast later on in the week.

I like the fact Karen mentioned the 10 being too high, i didn't think she would with her being Brendans dance partner but im glad she spoke to truth.

She thinks Brendan put in the extra lift to get people talking about him.

Doesnt surprise me if it`s true as I dont see any other reason why he did it.

Yes, she should remodel herself as the Johnny Rotten of SCD.

see my post above .
You don't have to say anything to make clear what you think . Penny was not mentioned , it is hardly her fault per se , but enough was said in great praise of Gabby to make it clear what she thought .
What was almost more important was her attitude to Bruno , Brendan and the rule breaking . And she was clear that they should be looking at whether they marked Gabby high enough .

I have posted a summary elsewhere .

What I thought was most telling was her comment
"Its 1-0 to the voting public who are maybe showing that they don't want 5 females with dance experience in the competition"

Also that they love the underdog and someone going from no experience and progressing like Mark and Matt last year and also Bill

She did balance this out with a lot of praise of Gabby.

And I think Penny wasn't particularly mentioned as she didn't go out .

Karen made it clear who, in her opinion were the worst on the night
Kate , Kenny and John

I agree with you.
I am at a loss as to why people are criticising Karen? I enjoyed watching her this morning and agreed with most of what she said. She has always been very fair in her comments.

Well many people here will know I am very fond of Karen . having known her now for 2 years

But also those who know me personally will know I would be the first to criticize her If I thought she was being unfair etc.
But I thought her comments this morning were fair and balanced .

She criticized Bruno ,and Brendan and suggested that maybe all the contestants should try "A Brendan" for publicity .
Then there would be chaos in her opinion.
(and she is a close friend of Brendan , so as I said fair and objective comments )

She also made it quite clear that Gabby danced really well, had mastered hard choreography and the judges should have marked higher .

She was highly crictical of Brendan .

She wasn't asked about Penny , her name was not mentioend , But her feelings were obvious .

In any case , it is no more Penny's personal fault she stayed and Gabby didn't than it is Kate 's and the other weak dancers that the public voted for them .

I loved it that she said it is Public 1 , Judges 0

I am sure everyone noticed the other judges all had a go at Bruno when Bruce asked about the 10 he had given .

She was? Not judging by her comments about illegal lifts, criticism of Brendan, 10 being too high, what the Head Judge should be doing when crazy marking decisions are made, and the Public 1, Judges 0
