Brucie or Tess


Tess is so up her own bottom whilst Brucie jokes are so old they ahev left hom and started shaving.

Tess by a country mile - Bruce is actually very good when he's ad-libbing, he just can't read the autocue very well

Tess is awful, I find her stilted and unbelievably tactless when she's talking to the couples

Can't believe after five years she hasn't got better!

Bruce- he's terrible.

Tess is a good presenter in my opinion.

equally terrible in my eyes, I am forced to switch to *shudder* x-factor when they come on. Maybe bruce pips tess to the post though- mainly due to his very obvious reading of the idiot board, how he would survive without it is anyone's guess...

That's a bit harsh IMO. Although Brucie's jokes are a little worn out I still find him entertaining to watch and it just wouldn't be SCD for me without him. I don't mind Tess although feel that she's very much replaceable in her role.

Bruce and Tess are equally cringeworthy.

Bruce all the way- half the time Tess is covering for him anyway so even when she is tactless I have to give her brownie points

Bruce is a legend, but there's something I can't like about him. When I've seen the show live I've always thought the persona he portrays for the camera is a little false compared to the real thing.

I like Tess very much. She's just how she is on TV. And holds the show together sometimes when Bruce has lost his way on the autocue somewhere!

I've always found Bruce excruciatingly painful - although actually on sat/sun I found him a lot better then usual.

Tess was her usual rubbish self - she single handedly proves its not age that makes you a bad presenter.

oh no i have to disagree. bruce makes the programme for me. He is one of the last few real presenters around. He can ad lib and cope with any situation with wit and flair which a live tv presenter really needs to be able to do.
He is 80 in febuary so its hardly a suprise he cant always read the auto cue or makes the odd mistake but its a big part of the programme.

I think when bruce finally retires and vernon comes in it will be less of a show for it

Bruce - "We will be back for results tomorrow at ten to six".

Tess - " 5:50 Bruce".

Bruce - " That's what I said"!!

Except when there was the controversy and Bruno the prawnhead double-cream donut was dissing Craig and trying to work the crowd (ala DWTS) Bruce lost control and couldn't remember who should be commenting next. he looked lost for a while there!

We were shocked by the vitriol in his voice when he barked at Tess & the look of sheer terror on her face!! Then they fell back into character & pretended to be all "luvvie dahrling" again. I'm really surprised they did not re-do that bit, seeing as it was being taped anyway.
It's gonna be a very short show for me as I already fast forward most things Bruce. Now I can't bear to watch her any longer Kate is going to be added (sorry Anton but it's for my mental health).

They're a strange coupling and it seems to be getting worse and worse.

Brucie is constantly fluffing the autocue, whilst Tess can be incredibly patronising and tactless to the contestants.

Tess constantly wringing her hands makes me cringe...And she is a false presenter. Brucie is a pro. He is just getting on a bit and having problems reading the autocue.

to be honest they're both as bad as each other!!
brucie is so tiring and his jokes just make me dislike him more!! i mean yes i have laughed once or twice but have gone off him!!

and tess yes i have to also say she is up her own and not just saying this because i'm a brendan fan but hasn't been very nice towards brendan!! and some of the other contestants/dancers!!

Tess though I have to say she didn't seem so bad when the first series started. Perhaps we have all got too used to her. She is very nice and came over a lot better when Claudia was talking to her on ITT, but she does irritate a bit and has that habit of putting hands on hips in mock indignation. Not a natural actress type. Are we being unfair though?

Tess' eyebrows
