thats not answering my question. I need a new radio now. I was aking whether the http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...B%2Bradios.htmwould connect and play my mp3 player?

When is DAB+ due out and i think it would be out of my price range when it comes out?

No it doesn't, the USB connection is there to enable you to download updates to the device itself, not to connect it to an MP3 player.

I notice it has a detachable rubber arial. I had a phone once with one of those. I also knew a well built welsh girl at the time. The fun we had with that detachable rubber ariel

Where is she now that I can buy a Pure Radio with the same? It wouldn't be pure for long.....

www.aqdab.com

Great site for all things dab, prices are good and customer service is excellent as well. You should find something to suit you on there as their item descriptions are very comprehensive

No, I don't work for them, honest..

The Pure One doesn't have Aux-In.

The Evoke-2 does, though:

A particularly good buy from eBuyer. £55 with free delivery for a factory refurbished model. I bought one myself for the bedroom a few weeks ago, and it's in absolutely perfect condition. Brilliant sound quality, too.
Plus if you pay with Google Checkout, you get £10 off.

"Input connectors: Stereo input for connecting iPod, MiniDisc or CD player; USB input for downloading updates; power input."
I think that should suit the OP.
The link was an example of the google query.

Hi tealady methinks Pingu was referring to the link in the 3rd post...

I have the Pure Oasis and have owned it for a year or so, it is a great radio, if a bit on the heavy side! One of the main reasons we got this apart from portability was the aux socket. I probably use my mp3 player in it more than the radio itself..

Yes - the 'Pure One', rather than the 'Pure' one.. sorry for the confusion

The Pure One is fairly good but it drinks batteries - so it's only worthwhile if you run it off the mains or rechargeables.

I have a Pure DMX-25 micro hifi for the kitchen. It's not portable and The sound quality is superb (and I live in a weak DAB signal area). It has plenty of external connections for an MP3 player, USB stick or, in my case, a wireless music receiver so I can stream my entire music collection from my PC.

I also have it's bigger brother the DMX-60 for the living room. That is great too.
