“ 'I'm so sorry that a great dancer like Gabby Logan had to leave, but i am very pleased that the viewers have given me the chance to stay in. I'm going to go all out this week to impress the judges and show them what im capable of. no-one could believe that Gabby and Penny were in the dance-off as they both worked so hard to prove that they are the best. I know the judgesare furious when great dancers are voted off, but i think that the viewers love to see people improve and I'm grateful to have been kept in again'

'kelly brook's fiance Billy Zane came up to me after the show and said 'dont feel bad, it was worse for kenny-he was worse than gabby and had to watch his missus be voted off' he also told me that he had been watching me all night and that 'you're great fun and exactly what this show is all about'.”

you know i really liked Kate, but she should have been voted off, her performance on saturday was cringe-worthy and i dont see her improving much more. she said she was going all out on saturday to impress the judges, but look how that turned out. i like her, but she's a joke on the show.

i'd much rather see great dances that excite me, rather than pathetic dances, that amuse me. kate is getting old on the show, she and kenny need to be shown the door. its bad enough gabby got voted off. esp since in the dance-off Gabby was much better than Penny.

who cares what Billy Zane thinks! Does she really think telling the world billy thinks shes fun and was watching her "all night" is gonna get her more votes

I don't think she needs to get any more votes...Craig and co have done all her campaigning work for her

she's at an advantage because gmtv viewers who like her and watch her on a morning vote for her and anyone who feels the judges have been to harsh on her judge for her too.

there's an interview in the mirror i think it was today, with Gabby, where gabby said something about she didnt have a publicity machine, she thought if you were honest and worked hard you would be ok, but maybe she should have played the game more.....i didnt buy the paper so i havent read the full interview though.

Glanced at the Mirror article and Gabby doesn't come across too well in that. Having said that, "fun factor" yep, SCD does have that. But I certainly didn't find any fun or entertainment for that matter watching Anton hold, drag and support Kate last Saturday. Up until now I actually liked Kate but if she can't see that she's only one step above Fiona then she is seriously deluded.

Kenny and Kate would near a year at their current level to attain any kind of credibility on SCD and I don't think even the BBC is going to allow that length of a 'journey.'

Billy's probably happy that Kate and her crazy cult GMTV following have helped bump off one of Kelly's main competitors!!?

I'm with Billy Zane. I'm pleased Kate is in another week and she shouldn't feel bad - there were lots of people wanted her to stay. I do hope she does improve and look forward to seeing that improvement. I have an awful feeling that even if she does improve the judges will slate her anyway.

Thanks for sharing the article olive0000!

Can't see Kate improving! She's not really progressed over her three dances so far IMO.

I thought her samba was her worst performance. Anyone know what she is dancing on Saturday?

Teaching dance, I know that some people simply do not have a sense of Rhythm or feel for music or dance, and even if they can go through the motions of getting most of the steps right (which Kate doesn't), they will never make dancers - I am afraid Kate is one of these, and it is unfair to keep her in the competition at the expense of others. Saturday nights performance was quite simply embarassing.

Or which dance she will be murdering, more like!! Think it might be the paso (so that she'll have done two latin and two ballroom)?

it was. it was cringe worthy in the extreme. her trying to be sexy, the dancing, everything, it was horrendous -and i like Kate, but even i cant say that i think she has potential or that she will ever get to a good standard.

i remember Jill Halfpenny's week 3 jive, now there was a woman who could dance her ass off and move her body perfectly. she just had it, Kate doesnt and probably never will.

I disagree. I also teach dance but i think that everyone can learn to dance... and you can learn rhythm and a feel for the music/dance. May not be able to be done within the timescale of this competition - but it is possible.

In terms of feeling the music/dancing.. Natasha Kaplinsky hated dancing the first few weeks... yes she is a natural mover but she had no emotion/connection to the dance the first few weeks... then she did the foxtrot.. fell in love with it... and fell in love with dance.. and magic was created. She carried that through to the rest of the dances in the series.

Isn`t it one of the most difficult dances to do?

Exactly! the more they slate the poorer dancers, the more votes they are going to get - the more personal the remark the better the vote!

Or trying very badly to! No doubt Anton will be dragging her around like a lame fox!

She's lucky- yet another ballroom for her then- playing to Anton's strengths

Shame! I think the Paso would have been much more entertaining.

She could lose some votes if Anton is able to get her to look half decent in the Foxtrot.

Ah- maybe this is a BBC cunning plan then CB!

Wishful thinking Cat Balou...for you that she looks half decent and for me that she loses votes...LOL!

This woman has absolutely no conscious whatsoever. But then what do you expect from a woman who continued to smoke throughout her pregnancy.

What makes me laugh is that she actually thinks she is improving! If that's improvement then I'd love to see what she was like when she first started!!

It's her blatant canvassing for votes that I can't stand. Using every trick in the book to gain sympathy and therefore get the viewer vote. And people fall for it! IMO this is all being masterminded by her husband, an ex political spin doctor. Gabby is quite right when she says in the mirror today she doesn't have a PR machine- Kate does, her hubby!

JB ---- Kate and Paso ---- Gawd, I hope you are wrong! No offence, but how the He** is Anton gonna get her through that? He's going to have to let go of her at some point!

I have a feeling it's a lost cause now!
She could stand there picking her nose and she'll still get more votes than more competant contestants.
I have a horrible feeling that this could be the last series.
The judges wouldn't want to work on program that's becoming a farce.
