To be honest I would imagine that as long as they continue to get paid then they will be happy to continue doing he show.

I also fail to see what the fact that Kate smoked during pregnancy has anything to do with a dance competition...

It's her blatant canvassing for votes that I can't stand. Using every trick in the book to gain sympathy and therefore get the viewer vote. And people fall for it! IMO this is all being masterminded by her husband, an ex political spin doctor. Gabby is quite right when she says in the mirror today she doesn't have a PR machine- Kate does, her hubby!”

If Kate smokes and smoked through her pregnancy then what business is it of yours or anybody elses. Thousands of women do exactly the same.

Get a grip it's a reality tv show, and if viewers wish to spend there money voting for somebody then they have the right to do that, whether they are talented or not.

What do you want Kate to do give up or say don't vote for me it's upsetting everyone, i thought this show was to raise money for Children in Need, has everyone forgtton about that.

But then Kenny is not a great dancer either, and in her Times column yesterday, Gabby urged everyone to vote for him on Saturday! I posted a comment to her that I wouldn't want another good dancer to leave next Saturday, as she did, so that her hubby can stay in, so she shouldn't encourage people to vote for him. But the Times saw fit not to publish it. I wonder why?

Peach, alfie was not talking about the likes of NK, who already had rhythm and poise, but just took a while to find their enthusiasm for Dance. But the likes of Fiona and Kate, who clearly have none, and however many lessons they have one to one with a top class pro teacher, will never develop it come what may!

I find it hard to understand why Kate still wants to be in the competition. As she prepares to come out onto the floor every Saturday night, a huge weight of stress visibly descends on her, and it looks such a strain. Fiona was relieved to leave. You'd think Kate would be too.

I was using the fact she smoked throughout her pregnancy to show that she probably doesn't have much of a conscious- ie. she couldn't have felt too guilty about it or would have stopped, in the same way she hasn't shown any guilt over remaining in this competition. If she did I'd respect her a bit more. I wasn't making a judgement on her as such more an observation.

This show isn't just to raise money for children in need, it's to raise money for the BBC. That's it's primary motivation. And Anton himself has said in the past he hates it when people bring up the children in need thing to try and make out it really doesn't matter. Apparently he doesn't care at all about the charity aspect of it.

Billy Zane watching her all night?????? I spilt my tea all down me reading that one, laughing in mockery .
Why oh why would anyone want to watch her embarrass herself? Plus the fact he is engaged to one of the most stunning women & could be ogling another couple of beauties if he had the inclination (Alesha & Penny).
If he did say that it was in sympathy, I reckon it was to make her feel better but instead she took it at face value as imo she is obviously deluded.
(NB imo btw)

Kate's never going to improve. She's steadily deteriorated each week so far and I can't see that changing.
I think the tendonitis was the only thing keeping her upright.

People are saying she's only a step above Fiona but I don't agree...At least Fiona could stand upright on both feet and had the good grace to be apologetic and embarrassed when better dancers were voted off before her. There's nothing pleasant about having no shame.

How does it raise money for the BBC then?

Quite frankly I think this "Kate bashing" has got totally out of hand - some of the comments on here are despicable. The mods should pull the plug on all you nasty people - at least she is having a go and IMHO being very entertaining. There is NO need for all the personal comments by you 'orrible lot - I'm shocked the forums have descended into this big Brotheresque format -shame on you all

Hmm...a tad ironic wouldn't you say calling other posters nasty and calling for them to be banned...isn't that the sort of thing that gets you banned?

Not at all I was merely expressing my opinion - everyone gets on about the judges doling out "personal comments" and then come on here and do the same. I also DIDN'T call ANYONE nasty per se I generalised, and remarked that the "posts" were nasty not the posters - the forums have gone mad if you can't defend someone from being demonised - I am doing nothing wrong so why you having a pop at me

there's an interview in the mirror i think it was today, with Gabby, where gabby said something about she didnt have a publicity machine, she thought if you were honest and worked hard you would be ok, but maybe she should have played the game more.....i didnt buy the paper so i havent read the full interview though.”

I watch GMTV and I can't stand Kate. She's so twee and more than a bit crass.

I can't see what some people's problem with Gabby is. What's wrong with wanting to win? Why enter a contest if you don't want to win? Most of those who say they don't care whether they win or not are lieing.

Mmmm, not the best piece of PR she could have gone for. In the interview Gabby comes over as ungracious and a sore loser

she didnt actually give them an interview. they have just taken quotes from article in the times and then added things like "she fumed". perhaps you shouldnt take everything you read in the tabloids as the gospel (unless it suits your agenda)

They will develop it... I teach every day. All my pupils improve, it's just a question of time - and one of the biggest achievements as a teacher (for me) is getting someone who appears to have two left feet/no sense of rhythm etc to be able to dance. (There's not the same achievement when pupils find it easy to do.) It does happen. People with no rhythm can learn to dance. I don't believe there is anyone without the ability to learn to dance - everyone starts at a different level and you treat every individual as they come.

If we throw off all the worst dancers at the beginning of the series we'll have no-one to watch who is a true beginner and the series will be boring. Kate has a lovely top line... a lovely smile.. and enthusiasm. The more people tell her how bad she is, the more she is likely to believe them. I hope she is ignoring all the comments and still training just as hard to improve herself.

Sue Caroll definitely agrees with you in the Mirror:

BTW Peach, is your ITT Panel appearance from series 3 online in a better quality version than the one in your photo files?
I can barely hear you all and the picture quality is poor.

I know I've got it on video, but can't find it.

Good post Peach. Plus it must make it a hundred times more difficult for a beginner to face 4 tough judges, studio audience, cameras and millions watching on tv.

Would be a shame if people like Kate, Fiona, Dermot Gavin etc were put off dancing forever due to what happened on SCD.

I've got it in quite good quality as a file on my computer.. I think when I uploaded it the quality changed for the photobucket page - unless that is the quality I saved it as on the puter. I have no idea how to Youtube. Have the full thing on DVD. (Picture quality being poor probably isn't altogether a bad thing being as I'm on there... and my voice was barely there that week anyway! I had lost my voice the 2 weeks leading up to the filming and had to really force it to come out so I could do the show!)

Could you upload it to sendspace for me please?
www.sendspace.com
It's a file sharer, and you can just browse for your file in your documents, upload and they provide you with a link that you can copy and paste for me here, then I'll download it to my computer.

It may be a bit of a palava for you, but would love to have it if poss.
I was going to ask about your voice lol! I remember it being very squeaky, poor you to have it just at that time, but glad you could still take part.
