Monster mash
Thriller

You could also use tv and film theme tunes like
The Addams Family
The Munsters
Halloween
Pcycho

Last two might be a bit too scary for kids!

I forget the name of the band/group they may have been called the Allstars and had a song called Bump in the night, which had a "spooky" feel to it.

Rob Zombie - Dragula - or any of this for that matter LOL. Not if they're TOO young though.

The theme tune to the Munsters is bound to be on Youtube too.

Yep, the exact one I would've said too.

Jerry Goldsmith - soundtrack from The Omen. That'll trick-or-treat 'em!

Or maybe Whodini - Freaks Come Out At Night.

Apart from John Carpenter's 'Halloween theme', the theme from 'Resident Evil' by Marilyn Manson is my suggestion.

Can't have Halloween without a bit of Marilyn.

You know what... I love that song! It's so cheesy but fantastic at the same time. Same with 'Living Dead Girl'.

Yeah, shame it's a kids party, there are some fantastic Nine Inch nails songs you could play, depending on how old/ mature these kids are...

having said that, this one's fine for younger people if you want some spooky atmosphere music: Link

I've made a Halloween mixtape which can be heard here. It's not for young kids but there are some fantastic songs which I'll be playing loudly tonight to drown out the sound of trick or treaters .
