EDGE on Orange expanding?
I don't often access mobile phone networks via 2G but I've noticed more recently - specifically in the last month - that when I do 'drop down' to Orange from my usual 3, after a few moments of the normal 2G Aerial logo being visible, it is then replaced with an 'E' indicating an EDGE signal.
Can't really notice any difference in Data Speed, mind. Anyone else, even those on Orange 2G, finding they're getting EDGE more often, more recently? |

Yeah I noticed this too..
The first time I noticed this weird E was when I was in a pub in Devon and I sat there pondering what it was for ages over a pint. I later figured it out and now I've started to see it quite a bit more, so Orange must me expanding it. The coverage on Three is amazing, I genuinely believe I get the best signal. My Vodafone company phone was awful compared to my Three phone, which is funny considering how much I pay for Three. |

Shame some networks seem to have slowed their 3G roll-out in preference of far inferior 2.75G due to a new master and their overhyped & over priced handset...
