Hi, I have owned my Canon for about 10 months now and have used it loads. I bought a 2GB memory card for it ages ago. After i had used it a handfull of times, when i came to load the photos onto my PC, the red BUSY light came on on the back and my Adobe software just told me the camera was busy. I bought a new card, thinking the one I had was corrupt. We had a few days away this week, after having replaced the 2GB card. I took nearly 400 photos. When i came home, i tried to download the photos onto my lap top, but the same has happened again. Any one know why? I have a 256 card and that is still working from camera to laptop. Sorry for the long thread, I would be very grateful for any advice or help anyone out there can offer me. Many thanks. k.

Have you tried using the Canon software to transfer the photos onto the PC ?

An easy workaround is to use a cardreader - a USB2 one should cost less than £20, and will transfer far faster than the camera. It'll also save wear and tear on the camera battery . . .

Thanks Stevieboy.
I was looking at card readers today in jessops - i Went in there to get the photos onto disc, some really precious ones i couldnt risk losing. maybe a card reader is the way to go then. Thanks
