McCurry & Fries!
In an extraordinary diversification, the chain known the world over for burgers and fries is extending its range of food in Britain to include traditional Indian takeaway dishes.

Heinz errrgggh
has anyone seen the new meals in a tin from Heinz, one of which is called 'The Full Monty' (heaven forbid!), there are loads of different variations, with one thing in common - beans! One tin contains beans (of course), chips, sausage, kidney and egg - cannot even begin to imagine what it looks like when you pour it on your plate (if a plate is necessary that is!)

The only heinz pizzas I've tried is the baked bean and sausage, and they have an ordinary base. They seem ok. I can get three for £1.30, was £1. Just not in the boxes.

I must admit I haven't seen these for a while, so maybe they have realised they are not that popular, hence the offer.

The "Meals in a tin" with beans are foul during the day, but very tasty after a night down the pub. Just slap it in the microwave (safer than using the hob after a few pints!), yummy late night snack.
The BBQ variety is quite nice. I wouldn't recommend the omelette/chips/beans tin though, as you only get a tiny soggy omelette in there! I think its a shame McDonald's don't do their breakfast meal as an "all day breakfast", they stop it at 10.30, and I prefer it to the burgers. |

I get annoyed with McDonald's that you can't get a burger etc before 10:30 - it's nuts they should offer everything anytime of the day.
Plus why can't we get a beer for the drink like in Spain? |

I know. Ive been to McDonlads in the morning before, and unlike the burger you want to get, all you can get is their horrible breakfast shit.

And I will not go to Burger King anymore because:
1. The burgers taste like they have been rolled in mud 2. I've had food poisoning twice, both when they had the special BBQ sauce or whatever it was! |

My mum seems to love burger king and hate McDonalds. Dont know why! The chips are horrible! Does the farmer let his dog do his buisness on the potatoes? And this flame grilling shit makes the burgers taste like they are what comes out of the cows rear end! Give me McDonalds or KFC anyday!

Delicious.BTW - I like KFC, McDonalds and Burger King! All have their good points (even though the food isn't exactly healthy). I agree with what some people have been saying in this forum, that McDonalds should do their breakfast all day.....ooh what I wouldn't do for a Bacon and Egg McMuffin right now! ![]()

Ah April 2001 the World was a much more innocent place in those days -where people just worried about curry - 5 months later everything would change

I don't know for sure whether it was countrywide or not - but I do remember some years back (It may even have been as long as 8 or 9 years) that Here in the Northeast at aleast, McD's did do some 'wraps' based on indian food.
I remember that the Rogan-Josh was very tasty. I won't eat anything at McD's normally (tho I do like their thick milkshakes), but I was travelling back from somewhere very late, and desperately hungry - so stoppped at the one down the road. I tried the Rogan-Josh 'wrap' thing because I detest the rest of their usual stuff, and was VERY pleasantly surprised. I even ate at McD's now-wnd-then for about a month or so until they stopped doing the Indian stuff. A real shame - I'd eat there again if they re-introduced that same wrap. |
