I am thinking of buying an ipod classic.Having only had an mp3 before im not sure how the itunes/ipod works. What i want to know is can i simply copy and paste all my existing music files(15GB) into the ipod or do i have to start afresh, buying all my music through itunes?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you already have itunes then when you get an iPod then it'll sync with the library and transfer everything over.

If you dont then when you get itunes then it'll ask if you want to search for music on your computer - if it says yes then it'll search for all the mp3 files and import them to the library and convert all wma files it finds. Then you just sync the iPod and all the library will transfer over

Yes, you can, as long as your music are mp3 fomrat, then you sync it to your iPod Classic through iTunes, you don't have to buy it again.
