Is it possible to have two eBay accounts linked to one PayPal account?
Hi all,
My Dad has just started getting into eBay and has created an eBay account for himself. I have some experience of eBay & PayPal - mostly as a buyer but a few times as a seller - I wouldn't say I'm an expert by any means - but know the basics, risks, dangers, good and bad things to look for etc. And I also know where to go for help, advice, etc. My Dad is very very wary of giving anyone his bank or debit card details - he doesn't even use his card in shops much. I advised him that eBay and PayPal would want his bank and debit card details which he doesn't want to provide. I've offered to handle all the finance aspects and to help him post items for sale on eBay. Is it possible for him to have his own eBay account but to link it to my PayPal account which is already set-up with my bank and card details? Thanks in advance for any advice, Cheers, Steve. |

Yes, it looks as if it's possible, stevenoon. See here:

You can do it, I've done it a couple of times. You go into Paypal and then into your personal details and you can add an email address (your dad's email address on his ebay account)

Another option might be a so-called prepaid "credit card".*
You can link such a card to a new PayPal account and pay via the card through the PayPal account. Transfers the other way (PayPal to card) are not possible though. So the PayPal account might accrue money with the only option being to spend it online/Ebay. * Like a debit card but money is "put on" the card at either Post Offices, PayPoint(newsagents etc) or by direct credit from a bank or other debit card. www.mycashplus.co.uk (expensive to run but a full Mastercard) www.travelcash.lastminute.com (Card is just £1 to get. No charge for top-up. 2.75% transaction charge) |
