hi don't know if anyone can help me as I don't really know what I'm talking about lol
hubby has just got a new lcd t.v which has 2 scart lead sockets in the back
we have one scart lead from the t.v to the V+ box ( from virgin ) and one scart lead from the t.v to the dvd ( which is rarely used )
our virgin digital t.v service is tuned in to AV 1 which is fine but when we want to access recorded programmes through the t.v and v+ box it keeps switching from AV 1 to AV2 before we can watch the programme and again when we come out of the recorded programme menu on the V+ box
its driving us mad !!!!!!!!!!!!!
if we want to watch virgin digital service its fine it just stays on AV 1 and once we're watching a programme through the V+ box its fine its just trying to enter and exit it that we have a problem
any ideas please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never heard of this happening before but here goes:

1) try just unplugging the DVDR from TV AV2 (there may be some signal from it triggering a switch to AV2.

2) If the V+ box has a 'scart control' setting in the menus (I'm only familiar with Sky + and HD, I'm afraid) then turn it ON (if it's off) or turn it OFF (if it's on).

Can't think of anything else but try option 2 first.

I'm assuming this is a HD ready LCD so it should have the HDMI connection available to connect up to the V+ box.

Recommend connecting....

LCD TV HDMI> V+ HDMI
DVD AV1 > TV AV1

This should eliminate your scart problem, in addition to this it will give you access to what is at the moment a very limited amount of HD material from Virgin, but you'll have the BBC HD channel, a few movies and a small selection HD via VOD.
