BT, Bills, Broadband= bother.

Reading some of the posts on this subject makes me realise some people have far worse problems than I.

I've got BT broadband, and, generally, I find it OK, but the latest bill shows an increase in my monthly D/D payment, citing a change in my B/B package, a change I'm unaware of. I attempted to question this by phoning BT, but all I got was an automated response, when all I wanted was to speak to someone in person. Is there a number that connects to someone living (in this country).

We seem to be totally at the mercy of BT as regards going online, because we have to have a telephone line. Cable, is another option, but I'm not sure if one has to have a contract with them for other services too, such as phone and TV. What about Satelite, could a dish on the side of the house link ones PC to the internet using an ISP of ones choice, and just have BT provide the phone service.

Satellite broadband is available but it's not fast and it's certainly not cheap (£310 installation and at least £65 per month).

Can't you log into 'My Account'? No, neither can I. But you should be able to email a complaint form from bt.com which generates an automated reply from Asia. Someone might telephone in a couple of months. Or complain to CEO Ben Verwaayen - you might get a result (see my other posts).
