I got one of these in November. Within a week I sent it back and got a replacement as several of the keys stopped working and it was turning itself off.

All was going well until this week when I lost all my text messaging functions and kept getting an "Operation failed" message if I tried to access them. Spoke to T Mobile technical and the only way to correct it was to do a master reset/ reset to factory settings type thing where I lost all my text messages (which I really wanted to keep for sentimental reasons). Also lost some things like wallpapers that were standard on the phone when I got it. Apparently Sony Erricson are aware of this problem but at the moment there's no fix.
I've always been a Nokia kind-of-girl but everyone was telling me I should get Sony. Really wish I hadn't listened to them.

Mine got worse - kept switching itself off and just wouldn't work. If you have the software CD thing that came with phone, you can dowload updates from the Sony Ericcson website that should hopefully sort any probs out. Mine's been fine since then

Well phones 4 u have had my W910i for nearley a month now the phone was only 2 weeks old and it turned it self off and wouldent come back on. Now after days on the phone to Phones 4 u i have been told it has gone to higher level and the woman said that usually when it goes back to the manufactuer they usually replace it. So not a happy bunny after waiting a month to be told they are sending out a new phone when they could of done that in the 1st place

I've had the W910i about 2 weeks ago and so far it seems ok it does lag abit sometimes in the Walkman Interface but its something I can put up with overall though its a pretty cool phone and takes good video clips and has an ok Music Player and Camera.

Im sure you have seen me ask this on a couple of occasions.

I was planning on getting a W580i in black sim free for £169
but i have seen the W910i on Vodafone for the same price (or maybe £179)

Can they be unlocked yet and is it the general pay the man £10 andi ts unlocked, As i am on t-mobile.

I'd avoid the w580i, trust me - there is a problem with the keys cracking. (ive had 4, all with same problem)
shame cause its a really nice phone otherwise.

PS... what is this??????? http://www.phones4u.co.uk/mobiles/So...sson_W580i.asp

none of that information is true?

Hi,

Just got a W910i on T-Mobile UK. Having a few problems compared to my old W850i. First of all, the 3G signal seems to drop off an awful lot, even when its full? It just switches back to 2G and even struggles to hold that sometimes! I know im in an excellent coverage area, both 2G and 3G as ive had T-Mobile before. I find it is when im texting (I have my finger over the back of the phone) but sometimes I can just be sitting there and it does itself.

Also restarted itself today when i exited the camera. I find it to be very laggy just scrolling through the menu, even worse when Walkman is on too!

I only had the phone yesterday! Where do I stand? Other than those two (quite major) problem, smashing phone! Just find it annoying that it wobbles when on a flat surface because of the camera sticking out

Thanks

If you only got it yesterday I'm sure you could cancel and get another phone if you really want...
