Saw Foo Fighters last night in Manchester, an awesome show, did at least 2 hours.
Theres a walkway down the middle of the arena and a circle toward the back that looks a little strange, but halfway through the set they lower down another stage into that and all the band go onto there to perform an acostic set that finishes with the start of Everlong as Dave stays on there and the rest of the band goes back ready for when that number just kicks off.
We had side seats low down, level with that small stage so we ended up really close for it.
Brilliant idea as it means no matter where you are you get a very good view of the band at some point.

And Serg Tankian (support) - brilliant as well!

I was there last night too, at manchester. Foo's were great but it was my first Foo's concert so I didn't really know all the songs. Serj was brilliant - I'm a huuuge System of a Down fan so it was brilliant to see him. Overall a fantastic concert and the centre stage was a good idea so everyone got a chance of being close to them.

Only downer for me was that we were on the top tier - front row but i prefer being in the thick of the crowd on the floor. And we got those tickets on presale too.

I'm seeing them again a the O2 on the 17th. This will be the 4th time I've seen them so I know what to expect but if you haven't been before you'll love it. Loads of energy and a great back catalogue.

I got my tickets for the Birmingham date the day they went on sale and SEE sent them about 3 weeks ago, so you should get them in the next week or 2. Usually if they haven't arrived 10 days before a show they will do something but longer than that agencies tend to say wait until 10 days before from my experience.

I'm going on the 18th as well and I checked the order status today at See Tickets and they have not been sent yet.

My tickets from See arrived yesterday. Sadly I've been allocated seats in the gods near the back which has annoyed me as we simply weren't given a tier, block option when booking.

Don't worry too much about that - we had seats in a similar spot in Manchester and they had a second stage right at the back of the arena where they did an acoustic set. Plus the concert was one of the loudest I've ever been to as well, so you'll have no problems hearing it!

Whenever I've booked with Seetickets to see a "major" artist I've had the same thing happen to me as has happened to you - no choice of where you sit - and sometimes I've had good seats, sometimes not so good. That's why I tend to stick with Ticketmaster because they let you choose. Plus they don't use the worst courier service in the world to send the tickets out...

Thanks for that, I look forward to the acoustic bit especially as the new album is very good on that front.

Normally I get an option with See for block, row etc but this is the 1st time the option wasn't given but as I've seen them 3 times before..........

I agree with you on the courier service though as Citylink are a shower of a company. This time though the Foos tickets came through the normal post!! I also booked my Arcade Fire tickets for Sunday through See and had a total nightmare with Citylink which resulted in me blasting See only to be told there were lots of other people complaining about citylink also.

I saw this lot at the O2 last night and as per usual they were superb. 2hr and 15 mins of as Dave put it " some old shit, some new shit, some acoustic shit and some rocky shit".

The acoustic stage in the middle works really well and last night they brought our Brian May and Roger Taylor to play an old Queen song. They played loads of old stuff incl 5 encores, I know Muse are really good live but nobody can pull it off like these boys. I found a set list on the official Foos board which I attach. Enjoy.

Let It Die • The Pretender • Times Like These • Breakout • Long Road To Ruin • DOA • Learn To Fly • Cheer Up, Boys (Your Make Up Is Running) • Stacked Actors • Skin And Bones • Marigold • My Hero • Cold Day In The Sun • But, Honestly • '39 • Everlong • Monkey Wrench • All My Life • Wattershed • For All The Cows • Weenie Beenie • This Is A Call • Best Of You.
