A few questions there

If you want to stick a CD on an iPod, download iTunes first (www.apple.com/uk/itunes) and then rip the CD to your PC, in iTunes.

Once you have your iPod connected you can drag and drop the CD to the iPod.

Also:

There should be no copy locks with any "Learn Spanish" CD's, so that's not a problem.

It's not illegal to rip CDs if you are only doing it for private home use.

Good iPods include the 4GB nano (£99), the 80GB iPod classic (£150) and the new iPod touch screen version (£200 for 8GB). It all depends on how much memory you need.

Hope that helped.

Erm, well some older CDs (particularly Song BMG CDs) have copy protection.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copy_Control

I don't think they're designed to be circumvented.

If thats the sole reason you want it, and you don't really plan on using for music on the move, you'd be better off buying a cheapo player.

It'll play back your Spanish CD's fine .... plenty software out there that can rip CD's for you.

Rather than £99 for a Nano, you could easily pick up a non-Apple equivalent for somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of that price ....

Thats like saying if you want to drive to work there is no point buying a BMW or Audi you might as well get a daewoo or skoda.

Treat your self, buy the best, get an iPod.

Every time I see posts like this, I look at the 'services' bit and the poster usually has a mac of some sort in there.

If all you're bothered about is getting from A to B, and you don't have money to burn, you'd buy the Skoda or the Daewoo ...

And you also have a Phillips TV in there ..... what happened to 'buy the best' there? lol!

Windows Media Player should do it. Don't use it myself but I believe the option to rip a CD is fairly obvious. Make sure you set it to rip to MP3 and switch of DRM (I think WMP has it switched on my default). Or, just google for "CD ripper freeware" and plenty stuff will turn up.

Once ripped, I'm assuming the MP3 player just uses drag and drop so just dump the resulting MP3 files onto it.

Just copied it with wmp and plonked the tracks on the icon of the mp3 player .

Now does anyone know where I put my quake 3 arena disc?
