In the first review of today's papers on Breakfast this morning, they picked up a full-page article on p3 of today's Daily Mail, in which Dom is claiming that the vote against him was rigged.

His claim seems to have something to do with what the judges saw during the rehearsal (but the full details weren't given).

Karen Hardy will be on the program later, probably sometime between 8.45 and 9.05, so it may be discussed more then.

But presumably it wasn't unfair when he was higher on the leader board!

Not a surprise, he was such an ungracious looser imo.
I don't know why but for some reason he seemed to truly believe he was a better dancer than he actually was. Did n't he watch back his performances .
He only has himself to blame as after his "rant" did he honestly think it would endear the public to vote for him?

What's the matter with the man? No-one else who has been sent home has gone on about it being rigged, despite their disappointment. He was quite a popular presenter, he had better be careful because it doesn't take much to turn the public against you.

On the other hand, the newspaper could be misquoting him, it has been known.

I agree, she must have a really sore patch on her arm. Where Dom kept stroking it with his thumb, whilst they were waiting for the judges.

Correction: it's the Mirror.

And there's a caption at the top of its front page:

"Exclusive: Loser Dominic's Blast"

I noticed that and thought that I wouldn't like it but I daresay it wasn't an intentional act on his part, it must be nerve wracking waiting for the results. I just googled the Mail and couldn't see anything about him saying it was rigged, only what he said on the show, that the better man stayed. Someone mentioned "Breakfast", did he say something giving that impression on there?

I know we often hear tales of rigging but seriously, between he and John it was difficult, John was probably the better dancer. We have got to the stage in the competition where whoever goes home is going to be a half decent dancer (even Kate was OK on Saturday night).

I thought Dom did very well.

Thanks for that.

I don't know if I agree with him, I imagine the judges do judge on the night's performance and not on what they see at rehearsals.

If he did say all that, the way it has been recorded in the press, he is not doing himself any favours. What did he expect? Someone had to go on Saturday night and it wasn't going to be Matt or Alesha. Whoever goes over the next couple of weeks will be someone who has done quite well. I think Dominic did well to get as far as he did, he was entertaining, he should leave it at that. Did he expect to win? !!!

However......we all know how the press distort things so I take it with a pinch of salt.

I think it's probably a fair comment about the judges making up their minds from rehearsal footage the same is done on X Factor etc.

I do think he's slightly delusional in thinking he had a fault free routine though.

Yes! No-one can have a fault free routine. I thought he danced pretty well though. i can understand him being disappointed at having to go but last night he said the better man stayed in and I wish he would have stuck with that!

I think he did well and tried hard, but he's kidding himself if he that his performance was flawless.

The judges are right when they say he doesn't listen to the music - he (and Kenny ) are what me and my husband call 'stompers' when it comes to the Latin dances. They go through the steps without connecting with the music.

And nobody likes a bad loser - he did himself no favours when he sniped back at the judges. He'd have got much more sympathy if he'd kept his mouth closed.

Who knows? It must be more nerve wracking than ever this year when they are standing there waiting for the results! Nobody is safe!

Well he did say he was very competitive before hand and he'd do anything to win games and things, even cheat. Seems a sore loser for sure.

Here, here! I'm elated that he's no longer in the show, he's clearly not the "cheeky chappy" he likes everyone to believe. He's an ungracious idiot with inflated ideas of his own dancing ability and i'm delighted he'll never violate my vision again!

Did anyone notice him rolling his eyes as the judges were announcing who they'd like to save ... Who does he think he is?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karen's on BBC Breakfast now!

The man is a twerp. He was voted off because:

a) he can't dance that well, he moves etc, but can't hear music

b) he is so grumpy and annoying that the usually patient and utterly professional Lilia wanted to kill him

c) he stomped his feet and whined when the judges marked him appropriately, when undermarked people like John and Gethin were perfect gentlemen

He basically says in the article that he put in a perfect performance and can't understand why he was marked under Matt who stumbled...erm, is he deluded???

Not only is Matt a much better dancer, there was so much more difficulty in his routine! They're just not even in the same league! I hope Craig gives him one of his rants tonight - there really isn't anything worse than a bad loser!!

Also, from what I've always heard the judges don't sit in on a any rehearsals. In fact, that's when they get their make-up and hair done.

Personally I don't see anything wrong in the judges watching the rehearsals.

The are shown on the monitors so they can't help but see them.
