Every other male I've seen on the show has behaved in an exemplary manner, and it's not been commented on simply because it's the normal way for people to behave.

Poor Lilia, to have had three perfect gentlemen in Matt, Darren G, and Aled and then to be landed with that person.”

Poor Lilia? I got the impression she liked Dom and they got along very well. I remember Lilia being interviewed by Claudia and if she did not like Dom, well she is a brilliant actress, that is all I can say.!!!! I think the Judges comments about him "looking at Lilia's bottom all the time" did not help his image!! I think the fact he is not a stunner (and I hope I am not being unkind) did not help in the ballroom or Paso dance numbers. Sorry but in dance what you look like is important.

Didn't see the interview with Claudia but it did occur to me after Len's comment that he might have said it due to a bit of back-stage prompting! Or maybe that's too Machiavellian?

Totally agree that appearance is all important. What I found very difficult about Dom was his ungracious attitude after he danced, especially when backstage and responding to Tess's questions. His face!!!

I started off prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt but rapidly cooled, I'm afraid.

One thing you really have to be on this programme - regardless of how much talent you have - is gracious in defeat and pragmatic about criticism. That's what warms people. Being a bad loser is the ultimate turn-off.

It was just another public relations number to improve the ratings for SCD. Did not actually match up with the gorgeous (but I don't really know how gorgeous I am!!??) shy guy!!”

I agree it came as a shock, but I don't find it difficult to reconcile his shyness (which was very, very clear; he couldn't be that good an actor), with his affair. Being shy about his close proximity to a dancing partner and getting it on with someone he is sexually attracted to are two different things. His partnership with Karen did have a chemistry, but you could never, for one minute imagine him wanting to jump into bed with her. And though it was terribly difficult for his wife when it came out, he wasn't the first and he won't be the last.

There's worse to come. In tomorrow's Daily Mirror:

Waite Outs Waite

Star of Strictly Come Dancing Ian Waite confessed yesterday, 'I think I'm flipping fantastic!' The camp beanpole Latin American specialist explained: 'I've always absolutely adored myself - I mean, really, really, LOVED myself - but I tried to keep it private. There's a limit, however, and if I didn't admit it now I'd EXPLODE! I think I'm really ADORABLE! I just don't care anymore! I just wish I didn't have to dance with a flipping partner. Then you'd just see ME!!!! What a treat THAT would be! Oh, I'm WONDERFUL!!!!'
