I hate this. Why can't we have sizes 9 and 11? lol. I suffer with the same thing as you - just can't find that balance on the waist and thighs!
It has got particularly bad in the arena of men's clothing too, bootcut and relaxed fit seem to be a thing of the past thanks to the monstrous regiment of the male skinny jean.
Topman actually do a Size 26" waist now. I find that quite disturbing.

Yikes. After my b/f accidentally experienced skinny jeans, we won't be shopping in Topman again! He tried a 30 waist and a 32 waist but the legs of the jeans just weren't getting any thicker! Safe to say Topman only caters for Russel Brand lol.

I haven't washed them yet in case they dissolve, but fifteen notes! Bloody bargain!
*In Bulgaria maybe.”
I find Matalan stuff the best its cheap and last longer then designer clothes.
Went shopping for a winter coat last week and it was a nightmare. There's only two types, Grandad and chav. To make matters worse they seem to think men don't have arms, I'm not an orangutan,my arms are a normal length but finding something that fits on the arms is near impossible.

I know!!!!!! I end up buying coats that are a size too big just so the arms will fit
I live in boyfriend fit jeans now. Im not sure why they are called 'boyfriend fit', because they just look like normal jeans to me Straight leg and a normal waist.
Skinny jeans are vile. They cut the circulation in your legs and if your anything bigger than a size 8 you have an enourmous spare tyre hanging over the top.
And also, why do they assume that if you're tall (ie need long legged jeans), that you are also huge? It's quite hard to find size ten jeans with long enough leg now. I just get them from Next.
I have no idea if there's a Republic near me, I've never heard of it
I agree on the jeans nightmare - I want something flattering, that's my only prerequisite, is it really that hard?!
I was surprised actually to find a reasonably well-fitting pair in Zara recently but otherwise you have to go for designer and I just can't afford that at the moment.

I've never had a problem with Tesco value jeans or Primark. Except when someone's put a 32" pair on a 34" hanger. That must be why they're tight around the middle.
I like bootcut jeans but I *hate* low risers. They don't look good on anyone over a size 12 and they just move about all the time. It's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find jeans that fit on the waist properly. Ridiculous! We should be given much more freedom of choice by the fashion indurity and shops when it comes to things like this.
There are lot of jeans out there and also normal fitting, now there is more variety than in the old days, but it doesn't mean they don't exist or are very rare.
I understand that it must be irritating for people that do not like to shop , I love it, so the quest for the perfect jeans is no big deal.
