sony CRT TV problem.
Hi all , I would be grateful if anyone has got any advice. I knocked a vase of flowers filled with water down the back of the TV three days ago
Luckily it wasn`t on but I thought I would let it dry out. I turned it on today and the power light was flashing red to green, so I turned it off and then back on, now I have nothing !! No power and no flashing lights. Do you think it sounds terminal or should I take it for repair which will cost me about £50+ just to have it looked at, or should I just bite the bullet and go buy a new TV ?

It would have needed drying out really well, a couple of days upside down over a night store radiator works well. Once it's been switched on, and it wasn't perfectly dried out, then it's almost certainly damaged something.

Thanks for replying, so would you say not to bother getting it repaired then?

Have you considered checking with your household insurance?, you may be covered?. |
