Hello,

Does anyone know where I might get hold of a 5.8ghz video sender in the UK?

I have identified that my 2.4ghz video sender conflicts withmy wireless broadband and cordless phone so the picture is distorted, if not completely gone.

They seem to be all over the place in the USA but no-one will ship to the UK

Thanks in advance

Frequency Range The frequency range 5795 to 5815 MHz can not be used in the UK. Equipment should have the capability to notch out this frequency range in order to protect RTTT devices.

Ah that would explain it, thank you Niall, I have tried a couple of 2.4 ghz senders but no joy with either of them.

To the "probably because they arent legal here?" character, last time i checked Crack wasnt legal here, doesnt stop some suppliers shipping it here does it? granted they probably dont have websites.Used to be same case for the griffin ipod fm adaptors, but they are acquirable here.

Im off to vegas next month - would anything stop be buying a 5.8ghz out there and using it in the UK?

If it conflicts with RTTT signals how would anybody find out - I live in a fairly rural area so I dont think it would play havoc with any major roads etc - or would emergancy services on my street pick up Sky Sports on their radios?!

this one or others like from the same site have 4 bands in the 2.4 range

maplin ones for example have 3 and some have only 2

it might be worth while running good quality rf cable ( ct-100 ) around the house

could it be your router settings? I put mine on usa but its still in 2.4 range and this helped the signal going upstairs

could it be your cordless phone? some models possibly cheaper but not always will interfere. Try a pals out in your house to see

The army uses 3 bands in the 5.8 range and you dont want to upset them!

Thinking of going for one of these, I note the answer regarding remote compatibility issue with IR or IRDA.

Can anyone cofirm if this is OK with a SKY+ box and remote.
