I think that EastEnders is getting a little boring with Sharon and Vicki always falling out and then a couple of scenes later they are having a hug and they have both made up and are one big happy family all over again. Come on Eastenders get a grip.

They are pushing it a bit with the Sharron and Vicky is she gonna go back or stay storyline. It's way better than Corrination Street though.

I hate it when they drag boring storylines like Sharon and Vicki out for too long, you really lose interest.

It is boring but I don't care. Vicky has probably the worst-delivered US accent but DAMN she has the nicest eyes ever! Especially when she wasn't that full of make-up in a recent episode where that little guy said he'd marry her and she said she wants an abortion.
I understand why he'd want to marry her with those eyes

Sharon and Vicky, when on earth is this most BORING Saga going to end, the very same brain-dead argue and make up week after week, about time the BBC fetched some fresh script writers, to boost the complete series. getting so terrible you can see what is going to happen in the next few minutes.

I have found myself switching Eastenders off lately. I'm never even THAT bored on a Sunday that I idly watch the omnibus.

Never watch Big Brother. seen one and that was enough ugh.
But Thursday nights episode of E.E. With Alfie running wild through the eastend, so many mistakes not at all a credible story. this programee is supposed to be real life drama - what a waste of talent that we all know Shane Ritchie (Alfie) has - gets more and more away from reality, sorry but I cannot take this unadaltered rubbish anymore last time for us was Thursday night, spoke to several people who were stunned at the BBC fobbing off the public like this, with this particulary bad episode.must take us all for morons.
I know that this statement of my feelings will draw a few hasty comments, please have a go

The trouble with EE and all other soaps is that they make too many episodes per week. It's going down the same road as neighbours. Soon it will be 5 nights a week and total swill. It's not far off now.

How true this is four episodes of E.E.every week ! - these last few months with the dismal productions that the BBC are fobbing off on the public is prove that the BBC are really stretching the capabilities of everyone who contributes to the making of this tired series,
Must be very tight schedules for all concerned, would rather have two sparkling episodes a week, than the four weary and boring half hour episodes that they are churning out now,
Just think EE is shown across the greater majority of TV stations in America, though several momths after being shown here. what a poor advert for the U.K. just hope the Americans do not think that this is a typical British neighbourhood.

The whole saga has only been going for a couple of weeks, so I think that it will end shortly. You are knocking it as boring? I am suprised!

Where on earth have you been ! - this has been going on for several months with Sharon and Vicky- Boring is just to polite a expression for this completly mindless pap, just hope that Tricky Vicky is returned to the U.S.A.- or failing that has to move in with her nan Mrs Growler forthwith or sooner,- Please take note of all other threads on this same subject - all the threads comments on the Sharon and Vicky over extended roles in EE, not one of them is at all enthralled by the scripts that these two have to put up with,-everyone in the same vein and same comments booorrriinnnggg. -Except for one guy who has a thng for Vickys eyes, can see the attraction there myself, - nothing against these two actresses, just the repitition month after month- of the same or similar storylines.

Eastenders is now just plain boring. Was Louise Berridge appointed Executive Prodcuer just to run the show into the ground? If so, shes done a damn good job of it!

Good point Chris, your comments make it look a very viable, how EE is gradually sinking in to oblivion, looking more and more like the BBC are on a self destruct role with EE.

All I can say really is that if you all want eastenders to be like real life then it'll be more boring than it already is - if thats possible! Who lives like people do in eastenders, corrie etc???

Did anyone here ever watch the American soaps (Sunset Beach, Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives...etc). We know that these did not depict "a typical American neighbourhood", so why should they think any different about Eastenders?

Because, by and large, the general american public are thick!
Trust me on this, I've worked with many of them.

My appoligies to anyone here thats unfortunate enough to be american, but this is just my opinion.

However:-

FACT : 60% of americans never leave their home state!
FACT : Only half of those that do travel have a passport!

Just 20% of the american public have ever traveled overseas!

It's no wonder, that the americal population at large, are naive!

So it's entirely possible that the majority think London life is like EastEnders.

Presumably the sudden Vicky being pregnant storyline was brought in when the producers finally realised that she was a truly pointless character and HAD to go ... they can't get her on the plane quick enough for me. Pity she isn't taking Spencer with her though.

I saw a clip of a documentary a few years ago (which I never saw, and if anyone knows the name of it, please let me know) which showed a woman, preparing to holiday in the UK, packing a suitcase full of Shredded Wheat, Oreos and other snack foods...

The Documentary Maker : "Why are you packing all that food? Why don't you buy food over there?"
Woman : "Because they eat Cat in England"

Just goes to show...

I am currently bored with many things in EE and in a bid to stop me coming over all dimorphic again I've posted the link below:

http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/t/73615/ds.html

Why else producers, would you be emulating Corrie's previously successful 'murder' storyline. Obviously you will put your own regional spin on it. But bringing back Dirty Den is also another copied misnomer... I've always wanted to see the 'main man' return to the square and I feel that his inception will be slightly more successful than Adam Rickitt's transitory 'street' return.

However, moving forward really takes time in an industry when you are producing 4 odd episodes a week, and time is of the essence...

Enough of gimmicky promotion;- addition of Indian/Pakistan families - "EE hasn't had an Asian for ages" was one of the official press releases that I read to support this conceptual bullsh*t...

There is nothing wrong with the inclusion of Asian families at all. Just don't promote them with such an indignant ephemerality. There are stereotypes and then there are stereotypic stereotypes...

Incidentally, I'm ready and willing for work of any nature. As long as it is brain-worthy.

Hiatus is a very interesting word and has far-reaching connotations. Please do not con us any longer with hiatus hiatuses which are ultimately very diluted!

That about wraps it up! Cut...
