I wasn't around so can't really comment, but that was possibly childish too. I don't know - didn't see any of it, only saw the aftermath. Doesn't make me warm to childish behaviour in others, though...

I think a lot of FMs have taken it all way too seriously. Although I understand that there are many on this board who do know Karen or the other dancers personally, they should bear in mind that the rest of us don't, we are just judging on what we see and there's nothing wrong with that.

There is no need for anyone to get all upset about what people are posting about someone on a board. It should all just be taken with a pinch of salt.

I never do childish, but I do have a little go at humour, mind Pink and Fluffy don't seem to recognize humour. As for the BB forum I think there are more adults in there, and it is never pink and fluffy, but what is lacking here is tolerance and fair play, Kelly the celeb is fair game, Karen the pro a no go area.

My post about childish behaviour was initially directed at a very specific instance of "tit for tat" behaviour - did I accuse you of being childish here, Seymour? Nope.

That's true - it seems that there are a bunch of self-proclaimed dance afficionados on here who peer down their noses a bit at those who watch the show for the reality tv / zeleb-watching aspect of it.

And I think it was a great shame that your thread was pulled. You tried over and over again to present your views in a very reasonable way and I can only imagine that it was the reaction of some posters to what they thought you were saying that got the thread pulled in the end. But who knows?

I don't know whether to laugh at the ridiculousness of this place sometimes, or to cry. I do a bit of both. Some people simply cannot accept that a different view is not necessarily an attack or that a dislike is not necessarily a 'hate'. And as for people who think that anytime anyone posts a thread or a post that invites discussion is being 'provocative', I can do nothing but throw my hands in the air with despair. All of us post because we want to share our thoughts or get a reaction. Thats what a forum is about! And yes, maybe sometimes some people do post to be 'provocative'. What on earth is wrong with that? If it gets people talking and listening and thinking, it can be a very good thing.

Sorry I did not come out of the woodwork to support you sooner. I really have admired your attempts to have a real discussion and I am sorry that your patience was not rewarded.”

I've written you a pm but also wanted to come on here and say THANK YOU SO MUCH! Means the world really really really and to everybody who is saying basically the same things as me.

It makes me feel so much better to read your message and really really touched ( ).

I'm going to come on over to the forum you suggested, but try in some way to perserver on here and continue to have discussions with people, trying to avoid the Karen-police on here.

Definition: Karen-police = NOT Karen fans. Karen fans are fine (I am at times myself one in a way...). Karen-police are the type that if I say 'I don't hate Karen-fans' write back (you know who you are...and I'm not kidding when I write this, it actually happened!) 'You're saying you hate Karen fans!'. Karen-police patrol these forums and if you comment on Karen in anything other then intense flattery then you get castigated.

P.S. Does anyone know if you can start a private thread on here that you invite people on?

Good.

I admire your determination to have your say and the wit you do it with. The forum would be a poorer place without you.
