150...200...are you loco??? In my book, that's far too much to spend, especially on a 16 yr old and only on clothes. Her family will no doubt be getting her goodies so why not pick something special like a jewellery set or, if you really must get clothes, tell her to pick out a jacket/coat in TopShop. Mainly all high fashion but no more than £70.

I always love to get a DVD box set so why not opt for that or something similar. Best of all they don't cost the earth.

I'd just get her a nice, simple necklace that she can wear often. You don't need to spend too much.

If you want to spoil her, instead of spending lots of money on her, spend a lot of time thinking about a special gift for her. Something that shows that you know her and care about her. That'll mean more than money

My BF's used to spoil me when I was young - perfume, shoes, bags etc - all I would buy them would be a bottle of beer & a scarf (if they were lucky) - hey ho

I misunderstood the title for a minute there :-P
Thought you were shopping to get a girlfriend, hehehe.
I agree thats far too much money to spend on her, and if she expects that much, get shot of her.
It's not about how much it cost, its about what it means to her. I.e a thoughtful gift not just one that cost loads.

i dont agree. im sure she would love 150 to spend on clothes lol what girl wouldnt i suppose im being a bit over the top and gonna try my best to find her something for under 70 that will hopefully just take her back. its worth pointing out that i feel so strong and want to spoil her because of the trouble i have gone through with family problems and shes stuck by me and dealt with a stuff that i dont think no other could. been together 8 months too both our longest ever relationships :P just thought id tell you that so u dont think im a young fool :P even tho i probally am

Yeah I agree. I gave my girlfriend a pearl necklace for her birthday.

I'd been wanting to give it to her for a couple of days before her birthday but I had to control myself. i had originally planned to take her out for a romantic meal and give it to her in the restaurant but in the end up I couldn't control myself any longer and woke up before her on her Birthday, sneaked round to her side of the bed and gave it to her there and then - You should have seen the look of surprise on her face when she woke up!

I vote for this idea . Something that will touch her heart, and not any materialistic concerns.

You might be better off keeping some of the 200.00 and putting it towards some days out together over the christmas. That way you get to spend quality time with each other over the break.

Exactly if you spend £200.00 on her you are going to leave yourself short on sponds to bring her out, so you'll end up sitting in watching tv.
Wouldn't it be much more fun to bring her off out and for you both to spend time together!!!

Instead of usual things like cinema, try taking her away for a night. £200 will get you a really pretty hotel!

She's 15 at the moment!...turns 16 just before christmas the OP said. I suspect her parents wouldn't be too chuffed about going to a hotel for a night!

yer your right they let her sleep my house but she takes my bed and i take the couch two floors down so i dont think there would be a chance of taking her on a weekend although it was a good idea if she was older!

£150 is a ridiculous amount to spend on anyone.

I'm 20 and Mr Mouth is 21, for xmas we're both putting some money in a pot and having a crazy day out or a few for the money, it's hard to think of things that you want or can buy for someone, and this way it takes all the stress out of it cos you can plan it together and do something nice.

Plus you get to spend your own money technically on yourself, and spend some quality time with the OH, and do something you might not ordinarily!
