I'm just looking for a micro hi-fi system for my office - what do you think of this TEAC MCDX2201DAB thingy - it's a cd player, dab radio tuner and ipod docker.

I haven't even got an ipod yet (yes, that's how far behind the times I am!) - but I will get one soonish.

What I'm looking for is something that's ok, won't need upgrading for a while and won't embarrass me in front of my friends (I'm not v musical really and have been listening to a tinny 10 year old radio up till now).

So what do you think of this for £199 - will it fit the bill?

Beware the possibility of problems with the phones output and with DAB reception with the unit you're considering - see my post at:

re Teac's DR-H300DAB DVD receiver (which adds DVD and USB functionality for around £75 extra).

The DAB problem is annoying - at first I thought the mutes were random, but now I understand the real cause I think this defect is an astonishing oversight.
