Yes that too, but she looks very slim, you can sort of tell dancing is doing her wonders. You go Girl

I am really warming to Letitia. I had no interest in her at the beginning, thinking of her as Sharon from EE. But now I see the real Letitia I'm much impressed.

Her salsa did seem like a more genuine salsa than Aleshas and Pennys, who I am a bit concerned about in terms of dance moves. She looked great, so I do hope her dress for tomorrow night compliments her this time, after her lovely paso dress last week.

Go Letitia! She definitely has the best legs of all the women celebs. I think she's going to shine tomorrow.

You are kidding aren't you of the clips I saw only Matt and Alesha out of those 3 had the genuine feel with the change of arms and turns under the arm - what we saw of Letitia was pure Samba and certainly not genuine salsa

I didn't like what I saw of Aleshas salsa...I have no doubt she'll pull it out of the bag on the night but at the moment not keen at all..still better than Pennys for me but not great ...

I did like Letitias on first look and think the dance should hopefully suit her

nope Im not and as we have quite a few Salsa champions in my dance school do know what Im looking at - all the SCD pros tend to do more samba than salsa for this dance the other night they were doing samba voltas !!!

Did you ever see Cuban Salsa You must be kidding
bendymixer

cuban or new york salsa does not have samba moves in it end of what I saw the other night of Matt and Alesha's routine it had the arms and turning moves of salsa in it yes tonights had some 'disco' type bits but then again if you look at some salsa champion routines they have their gimicks in to but you never see samba

Ohh yes you do if you go to salsa parties in Cuba or have Cuban friends dancing here. And there is a lot of the Son in it too. You are a dance expert so I still think you're kidding me.

think we have wires crossed you know claudia you obviously have salsa experience but I am referring to voltas and boto fogos which you see in competition samba not samba as performed in South America - then yes you do see some in salsa

I wasn't kidding in my original post. I do dance salsa, and I thought Letitia way better than both Alesha and Penny, not necessarily in terms of dance ability, but in terms of the actual choreographed routine.

I wonder if bendymixers opinion is influenced by the pros they are dancing with? (Huge fan of the Cutlers and Ian Waite, and very negative toward the Bennetts?)
bendymixer

Yep I really like Ian Waite and the Cutlers then again I like Darren too as a person but feel he does his salsa with far too much samba in it - you don't really know me Alfie and yes I can be negative towards the Bennetts at times, but I can be negative towards them all I dont post on here re any of the pros really so unless you have read my posts elsewhere how can you know?

yes I can be a bit biased towards matt at times BUT I always try to say as I see and last week I did say Lilia's was best Paso routine irrespective of how DOM danced it and have always said Lilia by far the best female choreographer I also stand and cheer on Darre and Lilia at the major comps always as they are the top English couple in latin

AFter the problems a few days ago on the Lilia thread, I did look at your website and found quite a few comments which I thought a bit negative. Calling Darren and Letitia "Huffy and Lettuce" for instance, seemed a bit unnecessary to me. I didn't seem to find any negative Cutler or Waite comments, although plenty of negative Anton ones. (I actually agreed with most of those, but am not going on the pro Anton threads to say so).

However, I am not disputing your right to have pros you support, but this was obviously a positive thread, or so I thought, and I just thought it out of place here. I may be in the minority though.

I am pleased you cheer for Darren and Lilia at competitions, although I suspect they may have withdrawn from most competitions now, as it is a full time commitment.

I still thought Aleshas salsa too "disco" and Penny looked rather ungainly to me, but each to their own opinion. I wish Letitia and Darren well for tomorrow night.

yep def comments on the BR re huffy and leaden lettuce but not ME I have called Letitia and Dom but when I do I am not really refering to the pros would hate you to get the wrong impression of BR we have loads of darren and Lilila fans too and I do all their picture avatars for them I EVEN do Antons think its just that this year alot of theposters supporting Matt and Alesha nothing more sinister

I can see where your coming from here...its better in terms of learner steps/stages ...getting to know Salsa..alittle like Penny's but better executed. It Would make a good beginners exercise Salsa DVD. But for more accomplished dancers...Matt and Alesha's choreography hits the mark and I would add Nicoles and Johns.
