Help with Spoiler Threads
beacham_powder
09-11-2007
Could some kind soul help me prepare for tomorrow nights after-show thread?

I really need to know how to post 'spoiler' replies to the spoiler result. I'm very keen not to ruin Sunday's surprise, so need to know how to do the grey message thing.

Can anyone give me a quick lesson?

Thanks.

This is what you do:

Spoiler
You type "spoiler" in square brackets before what you want to hide and "/spoiler" in square brackets at the end.

Without the quotation marks, obviously.

Or this way

Write post, highlight with cursor, click grey coloured S top right.

Or you can just highlight what you want to hide and hit the faint S at the far right hand end of the Toolbar above the typing area.

That was easy. THANK YOU so much for helping me with that. I like to plan ahead, and I know how hectic it is here on a Saturday night.

Appreciate the replies, darlings

For me, the easiest way is to highlight the text to be 'spoilt, then click on the 'S' near the top-right of the icon list, as expertly described by Force Ten. I'll use the other methods to become more competent in the coming days.

Yippee I can do it. I know someone who's at the show tomorrow so can do a spoiler if it's needed.

My goodness, that'll be excellent! Don't be slow in coming forward, darling! Get them to text you the results - the more info the better! It's nice if there's more than one source, so even if someone else has posted first, you can confirm!

I love Saturday night results! It's not quite like the old days, but as the BBC has spoilt that for us, this is the next best thing. I'm always really grateful to those who post the results here. Excellent!
