I loved Gethin and camilla i thought they were FAB!

I thought Gethin and Camilla's VW was lovely... I thought Alesha took Arlene's criticism with grace... there were a couple of lovely frocks on show.

Haven't seen it properly yet but these are the positives that jump into my mind so far.

Alesha continues to be a delight. She comes across so grounded, down to earth, genuinely warm, willing to work hard to learn the routines and seems to get along really well with Matt. Her unspoilt attitude really makes a refreshing change from some of the other celebs.

also liked kenny dancing to o' flower of scotland and he had greatly improved!!

I thought the flower of scotland worked very well. Another example of very clever choreography

Poor Penny

But what grace in defeat! Especially as she didn't deserve to go!

I think Tess' dress looks very nice.

Brendan and Kelly's jive was very lively - pity about the man's head getting in the way!

36 to start!

Though I'd resurrect this one to go with the nice comments thread - spread some peace and light

I loved Brendan's sparkly pink shoes

I love watching Brendan jive. There's something about the way he moves and flicks that is wonderful to look at. Barely noticed Kelly as a result! But very enjoyable dance.

that's part of the problem with his choreography (just my opinion!!)

he tends to show himself off and not his partners...

I disagree. I think he did show Kelly off and he certainly didn't show himself off in the Paso which he so easily could have done.

I think maybe this conversation is not appropriate for this thread

haha yes - meant in in respect of, he has a gorgeous partner, he could have made a bit more of her in the jive. I, like the poster above, was looking at him more than her (and I'm not his biggest fan )

so it was actually a nice comment about Kelly, don't beat me up Brendan fans!

Did Matt and Alesha dance to "I vow to thee my country"????? the music, not the singing. Will have to watch it again.

i must admit to goosebumps on watching the show, though tears is going a bit far for me. I'm a hard nut!

I don't think it was that music, I would have thought I'd have recognised it. But will listen carefully on ITT tonight

Thought it wasn't. Should've remembered what it was though.

A Time for Us, theme music from Romeo & Juliet, Zeferelli version.

Covered later by the delicious Donny Osmond.

Its definitely based on a classical piece of music, but its bugging me now!

ETA - okay, maybe not. Now will have to look it up!

The start of that melody is very like "I vow to thee my country though"

I should like Donny Osmond, but unfortunately he was a teenage heart throb when I was a tomboy. I then discovered punk, so it wasn't til I started mellowing out a bit that I realised I could appreciate different music for different reasons. Old habits die hard though. The Osmonds and Abba are forever tarred with the word "uncool" in the dim and dark recesses of my memories.

Strangely I still liked musicals throughout my darkest teenage years, but mostly the ones with lots of energy.

Kate and Anton were sheer joy on tonight's ITT - the perfect way to handle departure/criticism - with humour

I enjoyed Kate and Anton on ITT tonight. They're fun and I'm going to miss them. Anton's always good value. Liked the collection of his cheeky comments.

I liked the behind the scenes bit about costumes etc., and love the way Ian and Penny seem to be joined by a bit of elastic. Aw, sweet! I wonder if they twanged back together again after the show.

To me it is the "Our Tune" music from the Simon Bates show years ago.

I though Kate came over well tonight (liked her dress) and Anton was on top form!

Defo agree SB. They still work very well together, even if he didn't dress for the occasion!

Now I remember why I didn't like his show! lol

So an extra big thank you to Matt and Alesha for rehabilitating a lovey tune so beautifully!
