I'd just like her to have some dignity and not beg for votes. I don't mind if she says I'm loving the competition and things like that but begging and jesturing just puts me right off.

I don't watch GMTV in the morning, so I suggest people don't if they are annoyed by her (it's far to overrated anyway). But seriously, she will have realised by now that this is her only chance of staying in. And as much as we British like fair play, I think this is a competition and she is trying to stay in it. Nothing wrong with it IMO.

I like that she's obvious about it. And she needs the votes. The others leave it to Tess to beg and stand in the background wringing their hands or hugging, at least she tells everyone she needs them. Although she's not the only one to do it. I can remember a few people begging for votes, although not in as needy a way as Kate

I just think Kate has peaked and should leave now. It's telling when her professional just looks embarassed.

I'm pleased we agree on that. I should say, that of all the couples I think they deserve to go (although I love Anton), and I would be devestated if a better couple does leave. However with regards to her begging, other couples have done the same and I consider it fair plair.

TBH she is now doing my head in,she is a grown woman,married with a child but she has a habit of putting on this little girl act..........i think she must be driving Anton slightly bonkers no matter how gentlemanly he is and how much he says he loves her.

I was willing to give her a chance for the last few weeks but the lady has no rhythm and cannot dance,it's just demeaning to her professional partner if they stay in.......if i was her i wouldn't want to stay in anyway on the sympathy/Anton popularity vote.

I just think she's hit a plateau and won't get any better the begging for votes comes across as desperate. Also i can't make my mind up - is she really trying hard or is her heart just not in it?

Kate, for all our sakes, just leave quietly and switch the light off on your way out. Let us all enjoy the rest of the series without your constant mugging for votes

I will not at any point on here justify starting this thread to people who find it offensive. I'm not going to get into a battle about whether we should be discussing the point at all - that has happened to much recently. I've had enough.

I was indifferent to her until i saw her on scd. She is getting my back up big time. I loathe the way she begs. I have seen people in this competition before who are poor yet seem almost embarrased and alot more grateful when they are put through above someone who is clearly more talented. She, on the other hand doesnt seem to care and she irritates the hell out of me with the little girl lost act.

Yeah! I don't think she should have to say 'DOn't vote for me' - but to beg SO much seems ott, and unfair.

She doens't even TRY in the latin dances - and Anton is clearly fed up with her too - and it would take something serious to make him behave how he has been - he had Patsy palmer who found it very difficult too, but who worked with encouragement. Kate doesn't even try.

When she is asked to act sexy she doesn't have to go the carol voderman route if she finds that embarrassing - she could just hold a serious face. Why grin innanely all the way through it?

She needs to stop begging. She needs to stop acting in glee when they do yet another horrible dance and to stop acting as if everyone loves watching her - which I guess some people must cos they're voting for her. *sigh*

I don't think Anton was embarrassed at all, just playing along with it. It's a fun show, not the Olympics. The ones who take it too seriously, ie Gaby are the ones I can't stand. More power to her, hope she's stays in for a couple more weeks yet!

I actually think she's getting increasingly big headed as she stays in, because she knows shes not staying because of her dancing so she thinks everyone loves her - and many people must do - but I just don't like her attitude.

It is a family show - and your right its not the olympics - but actually its for charity and in the name of fun she's not mentioned that either, but wants to stay to 'improve', which she clearly isn't!

I dunno maybe, just maybe she is asking for votes cos that will bring in more money for Children in need, which is what the show is actually about as far as I can work out! and shame on the pther contestants for not pugging for votes as much!

You're right, she's never going to improve! I love the show and she and Anton make me laugh. Her time will be up soon - maybe even tonight, although I don't think so - and I'm just enjoying her while I can.

That she's the worst dancer in it goes without saying but tonight I thought Penny was pretty lousy and wasn't too keen on Letitia either. Kenny's my least favourite now but I have to admit he was pretty good tonight.

Anyway, I'm just waffling now. Waiting for the spolier as to who's gone then going to bed. Great topic though, really enjoted reading the replies even though they were mainly anti Kate!

Why is she selfish, because she can't dance as well as some of the others, lets not forget it's a reality / entertainment show. Which means it's also about their popularity and personalities.

Then why don't all couples just go to the dance floor and stand still with their arms crossed until the music ends?

Because it wouldn't be half as entertaining, but you are right it might equate to the same thing.

I think she has an excellent attitude. She tries hard doesn't break into sobs when the judges slate her.

If she didn't ask for votes the producers would have something to say I'm sure.

Most important of all she is enjoying it.

All of the celebs/pros have good and bad days when training, with editing it can be made to look bad all of the time.

I repeat I am not suggesting she says don't vote for me, or even say 'I'd love to stay', but I don't think the producers ask her to scream at the camera 'don't desert us now' and 'for king and country' and too hold her hands together begging at the very end of the programme when the others are just sitting there. She goes further then she should bearing in mind that someone better then her will inevitably go out because of her.
